RDBE Cook Book Update = Hi Everyone! You can send as many recipes as you would like to my email (jags1fan@gmail.com) - in .pdf format. Follow the normal recipe format - Creative Recipe Name as Davena suggested. Ingredients. Directions. If you have them - add the Nutritional Info as well. And of course, your name. I'd like to include photo's of you, your trucks, RV's. I haven't talked to Davena about this part - but maybe she can provide me with photo's from past HDT Rally's etc. that I'll be able to include.

 

My plan is to put these Cook Books together in a way that we can add recipes maybe on a yearly basis, as the recipes build up (or more often if necessary). If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Email is faster, but I'll try to start checking this forum really often. LOL

Bonnie and I got to our winter home (RV Lot) at Retama Village in Mission, Texas today at about 2:30 PM. Was set up enought by 4 PM to attend the happy hour / meet your neighbor at the club house. Have to get car we leave here moved (dead battery) tomorrow so we can get into the coach house and get the patio table and chairs out. Then we can get the coach house ready to enjoy as additional entertainment area. All the yard areas and the flower beds are looking great with a summer of growth. Will be staying here for the most part till spring comes to the north country.

Where does all this happen

We made it to Retama! Man, it is beautiful here, we LOVE it!

Got in about 5 yesterday and still getting set up. Can't wait to check out everything.

A sea of heavy duty trucks and fifth wheels met our eyes as we pulled into the fairgrounds about 3.00 p.m. yesterday. We got to meet Henry and Davena right away, a real pleasure to finally get my hug from them both. Mark Shelly helped us park and got us situated. Who’s been my favorite person to meet? Well, not really a person but I finally got to meet Trash, Hogrydr's dog. He has beautiful furry face, and my furry face Chloe seems to think he's handsome too!

Everyone we have met so far has been super nice but what else would you expect from this group! Looks like it's going to be a fun, busy, and informative week.

Thank you both! We had a party last night here at the campground and it was terrific! Great friends and great food! And my wonderful husband is taking me out for all you can eat crab legs tonight...life is sooooo good

Now I don't know about that!

Update. I drove the truck again today, this time out of the drive way and onto the streets...watch out people of Kansas!
