My driving test took all of 20 to 30 minutes total. Add in 15 minutes for him to do the bleed test and parallel parking.

 

Glad I'm done with that now.

I just went to cat scales on an empty tank and got a 12.00 ticket. Easy.

Just left Dallas and arrived at the big Texan in Amarillo. Got a late start and this is as far as we made it today. Tomorrow Colorado Springs. And a little colder temps me hopes

They have storage there. Just about like renting a spot. But we have a storage place on big pine key that is 50 bucks a month.

Angie and are taking in the total Key West experience this yr. we're here till June. Going to really learn salt water fishing.

Just bought 2 inflatable SUP's, so will be in and on the water a lot. After April the crowd thins and the winds lay so looking forward to tne spring in the keys.

 

Anyone coming this way, look me up at Boyds camp ground. Or on a reef snorkeling and paddle boarding.

Well an update from Angie and me. We made it across the Canadian boarder (I 95) into New Brunswick. No big deal. Looked at passports, asked about our guns and where they were. 10minutes and gone.

 

In a new park called hartt RV campground In Fredericton NB. Clean big and has a water park. Had truck issues so we are a week behind so we are taking the Boat access to Nova Scotia for a rally later this week. This area is amazing. Need to spend more time here.

Headed to old orchard Maine the end of this week. Be there for 12 days. Rv park has adult only section with a pool and bar and and grill. Then off to bar harbor for a month. Then over the border to Nova Scotia for a week or so. Then we make our to hutch via Indiana and forks Rv for repairs and Maintance.

 

Can't wait to see everyone in hutch

Currently in virgina beach at Holiday trav-l camp ground. Big place. Was almost empty 2 night ago. Not so much now !!!

We're in Hardeeville SC. 15 miles from savanna Ga and 25 mile from Hilton head. The name of the park is Hardeeville RV park. All most all spots are pull through and 100 feet long and wide. Those that are back in have huge drive ways tomuse for backing.

 

No pool, but Laundry is available. Oh and low prices for the spots.

We're still here in KW for another week and the temps here have dropped 10 degrees and the wind has picked up. Headed to see phonix on the 7th for some hitch adjustments and then off to Kissimmee for a couple weeks. Flying home to Dallas for most of the stay. Then we're off to nova Scotia with several stops in between.

Forgot to ck this post. I'm doing better. Still sore, but can manage to get around. As long as I don't over do the pain is manageable!!! Recouping in key west makes it a little easier.

 

So who is the "rupert" look like?

Angie and I are parked at boyds here in key west till april 5th. All has been great till yesterday. Cleaning the air vent filter that is above the shower, when I stepped from the bedroom area into the lower section, my wet rt foot slipped completely out from under me on the step. Landed on my mid back on the edge of the step. ER doc says I have a transvers fracture in my back. Can't put weight on my rt side, leave over or laugh or anything else except lay here in bed. Going to a specialist Friday. Angie has to drive to Miami tomorrow to pick up the smart car from the body shop.

 

I am lucky to have a great woman that's taking care of me. It's going to be a long few weeks of recovery.

 

Hope everyone is safe from the extremely cold temps up north. Phonix, did you get the cap off the sunscreen?..

We were very impressed by the Continental coach by Forks at the Tampa RV show. Talk about Robust. Excellent in every respect. The weight was GVW 26,445 lbs a bit heavy for my F-350. HDT territory for sure When We pushed the reps they admitted that a F- 550 was minimum. The 45ssa5 has 5 slides and the outside diameter IS 45 feet. This was the only 5th wheel unit we saw that impressed us.They are out of Shipshewana Ind and this is one plant we have not toured. We will this summer. The Forks reps were very up front in every respect.

It was great to meet you guys when y'all stopped by forks RV while we here greeting some repairs done. Sorry it was a little hectic while you were here. Lots of people pulling me in a lot of direction.

 

We had new ac units installed as domectic, they agreed ours were way to noisy. New ones are amazing.

Had a mor ryde axle destroy a set of bearing on the drive here. So Monday they are replacing all bearing, this after replacing the defective assembly.

And then just misc stuff that comes with a new RV.

Angie and I are sitting in the shipswana south campground. First couple nights in the new coach have been great and tiring as well. Moving in all our stuff and then moving it again cuz it fit better some where else.

 

We removing Wednesday to a lake side resort in michigan for the a few days then a second park for the forth of July holiday.

I believe its1500.00 for the 3 race weekends. You can get them on Craigslist for an individual race. And they have no electricity, they do have propane, water and vacuum trucks running around. Just filled my 30 # bottles for 30 bucks at 11pm on a Saturday.

Sitting in the infield of Texas motor speedway till Monday. Sure wish the sun would come out. Cold and windy. Rain tomorrow.

Headed to Indiana tomorrow (flying) to go check the progress of the new continental coach. We are so excited, Thinking about "camping" in it for one night in the shop.

We are definitely going to be in hutch this year. Have lots of questions and look forward to meeting everyone.

I have been stopped after 5 days. That is the grace period as the trooper told me while writing the ticket. I believe when you cross the state line you have 5 days. Ok, how do they know when you crossed? Just my 2 cents worth.
