Arrived home, Faibanks, this afternoon. 4 days across Canada. For those of you traveling to Alaska this summer. Be prepared for a roller coaster ride from Whitehorse to 50 miles inside of Alaska, frost heaves. The speed limit is 90Km for this final leg of Canada. Driving my HDT w/Trailer I had to drive significantly slower most of the time.

Last night we boondocked just past Muncho Lake, past Northern Rockies Lodge, approximately mile 470. Large turnout along side the road. All lakes are still frozen with patches of snow along side the road. However, the road is clear and dry and you can easily drive the speed limit. Watch out before the Summit there are a couple of steep downgrades, 10% & 9%.
This trip, we've seen 50 Bison, 4 Black Bear, and 6 Deer.
Tonight we are in Whitehorse.

Dang, I wish we could come take you up on the offer. We know first hand how well you treat guests. Maybe we'll catch up with you next winter.
Dangx2, just read your post. Stopped for fuel at the Flying J Cardlock and kept driving.

Arrived Las Vegas NV for the winter today. A long 2 day drive with strong headwinds for most of the trip. 1st night we Boondocked at the truck stop (good fuel price) across from Double Eagle Casino NM, we were to big for the small RV Park. Tried the Casino Slots for a little diversion, we lost then won breaking even.

Finally escaped Indiana. Now we're relaxing at Hutch.

It will be interesting talking with you at the Rally and find out all DRV has done for you at the factory.
I'd love to share my story, just have to take a BP pill first.

Than goodness I had the AliArc, the Deer impacted dead center of the lower of the radiator. Zero damage, except a bent license plate. So, Larry, did the bumper do its job??

Today is our 8th day of warranty work at Mobile Suites, we'll be happy to move back into Michigan tomorrow.

Sorry to hear about the deer Larry. Those suicidal deer seem to be in many states.
I left MN today and am sitting in a campground near Bloomington Indiana for about 2 weeks before I continue my trip to South Carolina our new home state. Just need a place down there, hopefully soon.
Dave
Bumper worked as advertised but the jerk bent my license plate

Traveling the UP, Michigan today. Very nice drive except for the Deer that decided to commit suicide on my AliArc bumer.

Arrived Grand Forks AFB, ND for two nights. Then we'll be migrating to Howe, IN.

Arrived Spokane RV Resort, Deer Park WA. I'm told the drive through sites are 90', plenty of room for my rig. Nice park and the owner tells me I'm the first HDT to visit. Also ajoins the City Golf course.
We'll be here until Monday.

Larry,
That's good news for folks with newer trucks!
Did you "volunteer" to test out the new model for them?
I did doubt it will happen.

Might be off subject just a little.
DirecLink telephone me yesterday. DirecLink has completed the engineering for the newer Volvo Trucks, including 2017 models. They are anticipating the product release NLT October 2016.

A little change of plans.
Stop by Pie Town, NM for lunch, who can resist pie a la mode, then down the mountain to Nellis AFB for the night.

Sad to think instead of just forward facing cameras, we need panoramic views all around the truck. Glad there was no damage to your Brand New Truck.
Rod
Sad point is a camera would only let me see the Jerk instantaneously come across 2 lanes while he was checking his phone, distracted driver. I watched him in mirror, no time to react.

We arrived Kilgore, Tx this morning and dropped the truck off at Herrin's. The trip was uneventful until a jerk side swiped us while going through Dallas/Fort Worth and sped away. I was having a not for children conversion with my DW until we could exit the freeway. Absolutely no damage or marks. I'm thinking the jerk got close to our rear tire but there is no evidence other than seeing his molding flapping as he sped away.

Arrived Boise, ID. Waiting for our Truck to be delivered.
Alaska 2022
in HDT

Just drove home to AK this year, late April. Good weather and a easy drive . However, at the Border we waited 5 hours to cross and the Boarder Agents were very fussy and forcing ALL RVer's to book their hotel or motel lodging along the Route to Alaska, specifically stating Canada Law is not allowing any overnight Camping, albeit once we crossed the Border it didn't appear the no overnight camping law was not being fully enforced by the local communities. Hopefully 2022 will be better.
