  1. Just drove home to AK this year, late April. Good weather and a easy drive . However, at the Border we waited 5 hours to cross and the Boarder Agents were very fussy and forcing ALL RVer's to book their hotel or motel lodging along the Route to Alaska, specifically stating Canada Law is not allowing any overnight Camping, albeit once we crossed the Border it didn't appear the no overnight camping law was not being fully enforced by the local communities. Hopefully 2022 will be better.

  2. Arrived home, Faibanks, this afternoon. 4 days across Canada. For those of you traveling to Alaska this summer. Be prepared for a roller coaster ride from Whitehorse to 50 miles inside of Alaska, frost heaves. The speed limit is 90Km for this final leg of Canada. Driving my HDT w/Trailer I had to drive significantly slower most of the time.

  3. Last night we boondocked just past Muncho Lake, past Northern Rockies Lodge, approximately mile 470. Large turnout along side the road. All lakes are still frozen with patches of snow along side the road. However, the road is clear and dry and you can easily drive the speed limit. Watch out before the Summit there are a couple of steep downgrades, 10% & 9%.

This trip, we've seen 50 Bison, 4 Black Bear, and 6 Deer.

    Tonight we are in Whitehorse.

  4. Might be off subject just a little.

DirecLink telephone me yesterday. DirecLink has completed the engineering for the newer Volvo Trucks, including 2017 models. They are anticipating the product release NLT October 2016.

  5. We arrived Kilgore, Tx this morning and dropped the truck off at Herrin's. The trip was uneventful until a jerk side swiped us while going through Dallas/Fort Worth and sped away. I was having a not for children conversion with my DW until we could exit the freeway. Absolutely no damage or marks. I'm thinking the jerk got close to our rear tire but there is no evidence other than seeing his molding flapping as he sped away.
