In our 11 years of f/t ing we enjoyed roaming at first - then diesel jumped from $1.50 to $3.00+ in '05. So..we started working seasonal jobs.

Four summers & one fall at Dollywood, 2 summers at a cg in Pigeon Forge, 2 six- month "winters" at Disneyworld, two holiday seasons for Sees Candy at a couple of malls, one volunteer summer in Alaska (free h/u's) and 3 late winter/early spring stints as gate guards in south Texas.

The fun ended as a result of a lung disease so we sold out & now live in Cary, NC.

Just re-read the original post & want to add that the main thing we liked about all of these encounters was people! I'd say that about 99% of the people we dealt with were wonderful, happy & friendly and the other 1% should not have been released in public areas.

The one we were most satisfied with was called a "revolution" (I don't remember the part/model number). Went through 4 of the Surflow 5.1 gpm

variable speed pumps in 2 years before Surflow told me that the 5.1 wasn't intended for fulltime use!

There is a relationship between tongue weight, load leveling hitches, air pressure & fishtailing. Too much weight in the rear = fishtailing;

improper adjustment of hitch = fishtailing & low air pressure = fishtailing. All 3 = mucho fishtailing. Also shorter distance from rear axle to hitch = fishtailing.

A travel trailer is sensitive to all of these. We pulled. 25' TT behind 4 different vehicles for 23 years & learned over time what affects towabllty.

I had Lippert hydraulic slides & that system had two valves per slide - an "out" and an "in".

.Sounds like the repair facility may have done something the shouldn't have!
