  1. Hi,

    Just a thought or two---

Most "toy haulers" are not built to haul things as heavy as cars, Jeeps etc. They are designed to haul "toys". [Quads, off road bikes, etc.] Your Z car may not have enough ground clearance to load and off load easily.

You are right about double towing. However, we have double towed a Jeep Liberty for a year and a half, [10,000+ miles] been passed by dozens of highway patrol cars, in mahy states, and never once been pulled over. However we are not trying to convince anyone to do it, But except for one case, we heard about in Penn. any one else that was stopped was simply told to unhitch the car from the trailer and let the wife drive it. JOHO

    Oh, welcome to the forum.

  2. Hi Folks,

We are now offically and legally, residents of the great state of South Dakota. We happily gave up our slave statis in the solialist republic of Califorski.

We left Sioux Falls the day before yesterday and arrived at Blazi Campground in Wichita,

yesterday. We will be here through the rally so anyone that's just marking timeout there waiting to come in....COME ON DOWN....

Val and Jim if you need us to do any running for the rally just let us know.

  3. Hi Guys and Gals,

Sharon and I are heading due east on I-80 to about Omaha, then up to Sioux Falls to finalize our change of domicile.

We wanted all you folks that are double towing to know that the KOA in West Wendover, Nevada has pull thrus 80 feet long!!!! You don't have to unhitch anything. Yepee.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread to post this on.

  4. Hi Pam and Smokey,

We should be in "Sac-a Tomato" by 4/3. Be sure to call us when you get in town. The best campground "in town" or close to town, is Cal - Expo. If you have trouble finding it, just call us.

Anyone else going through Sacramento to the Escapade in Chico, Ca. give us an email and we'll meet you and swap a few lies. TeeHee We probably will leave for the rally the Saturday right before sign in.

  5. Hi Guys and Gals,

Sharon and I are still in Yuma until the last of March. Since Sacramento is only about 80 miles from Chico, Ca. [spring Escapade site.] if you come through "Sac-a-tomato" and have a few minutes to spare give us a shout and we'll be happy to share a libation or two.

We also intend to go to the Escapade.

If you can't make it before the rally, how about after it?

  6. Hey Guys,

Jack M. and Trapshooter, by all means lets get together this winter and break wind er bread.

    bstark,

We stayed at Blazing Star a couple of years ago. It is a pretty park but the streets are very narrow and the entrances and exits from the campsites are laughable. No matter what you do you will tear up the grass getting in and out. We now stay at the Alamo Fiesta park in Boerne, tx. when ever we are in the San Antonio area. It is a nice park with lots of room for big rigs. Just a thought.....

  7. Hi Guys,

We are heading to San Antonio for two weeks starting around 10/21. There is a local Escapee rally then, at the Alamo Fiesta RV park in Boerne, Tx. [a suburb of San Antonio.] Then a liesurely drive to San Diego for Thanksgiving, The day after turkey day we will return to Yuma, Az. Hopefully, to stay there until about Jan. 20th. Quartsite is our next stop for a few days then on to Beaudry's in Tucson for the MDT rally. After that back to Sacramento in late Feb. or early Mar. to wait for the Spring Escapade in Chico, Ca. If any of "you'se fellers and gals will be in them there pea patches" at the same time, lets get together and swap some lies. TeeHee Send us an email an we will send you our phone #s.
