Hi,
We need some recommendations for RV parks/resorts near the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. We want to arrive May 15 which is when the North Rim opens.
Where would you recommend we stay?
Thanks!

Hello,
I'm looking for an RV Roof Repair shop in the Tucson area. They need to be able to fix a damaged upper rear corner on our travel trailer. The previous owners backed into something and the roof membrane (rubber-like material) that covers the roof was torn off of a small area at the corner. The people who had the trailer previously had it repaired but did a botch job overall because they covered everything with caulk and put a piece of plastic sheeting over the area and caulked it on. That plastic did not last long as the UV exposure caused it to become brittle and break off.
When I removed the remaining plastic pieces and took the corner cover piece off and got the caulk off the underlying plywood, I could see that the membrane was extended down the side of the trailer for some inches. But I had to cut some small parts of the membrane off because it was a mess of caulk.
Now I see that I've taken on a more complicated roof repair job than I had anticipated.
Does anyone know the name of a good RV Roof Repair specialist in the Tucson area?
Thank you,
Thad Schifsky
Having trouble getting Grand Canyon NP 2-night backpacking permits for rim-to-rim hike

Hi,
We want to do a rim-to-rim backpacking trip in Grand Canyon National Park. We plan to arrive on May 15th when the North Rim is open.
This trip would take 3 nights to complete. We've applied two times for backcountry permits to do this trip, but we didn't get a winning number or however they do it with a lottery or drawing.
We know there are permits available for walk-in visitors that don't have a reservation, but the GC website says that those permits do not permit overnight stays
Does anyone have any tips on how to get a backcountry permit that would allow us to complete this rim-to-rim backpacking trip?
Thanks,
Thad
