We are looking at purchasing a Class A.  We will be spending several months at a time in the RV.  We are looking at the Tiffin Phaeton 40AH.  Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this unit.  Good, bad, and ugly?  I would love to hear pros/cons.  Thank you, Kelli

Thank you for the update Ray on your previous post!  I will look and see what is out there for the All Star…My initial search did not turn up much.  As for a Class C, I feel it will be too small for the amount of time we need to use it…I would really like a king bed which seems to be a dream unless we decide to go with a gas engine/Thor Outlaw….

Thank you.  I do like the layout of the mid engine diesel….But definitely don’t want to worry about engine problems.  As we may tow a vehicle.  As for # of dogs it varies.  I train detection dogs and have Explosives Dogs currently working and will have some in training as well.  However, I don't see doing more than  4 in the RV and keeping my sanity.  Maybe 5 max.

Thank you.  I am looking into options about converting the bunk area…The one major benefit to the garage will be of course reduced shedding inside the RV itself.  And separating some of the dogs more effectively.   

Yes thank you for the responses….I would prefer used…So that basically eliminates the Newmar Canyon Star since they just added the diesel option.  But also may not have a choice.  We are looking at possibly redesigning something on one that is not a toy hauler…The dogs are GSDs…So their crates are quite big…

Thank you for your reply.  I know does not seem to be a lot of options.  I just don’t think we would be happy with a gas toy hauler like the Thor Outlaw in the mountains….

We are new to RVing.  I have clients all across the US and with the problems we are having obtaining reasonable options for housing while traveling and working with clients.  I am considering the RV option.  I am a K9 Trainer and travel with multiple dogs.  I really need the option of having a garage to use for dog crates.  However, there don't seem to be a lot of options for Diesel Toy Hauler’s.  Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this.
