My first post here, as I haven't found a good reason yet to introduce myself while learning more about HDTs... At any rate, I used a product called AutoGlym before to clean and protect a fabric convertible top on my previous car. It cleaned quite well, and kept the rain / water sliding on rather than soaking into the fabric. If your awning is fabric, it may work for you. Now I'll go back to lurking in the background
