  1. Working our way south to the Rio Grande Valley (Retama) for the winter. Pulled into Tom Sawyer at West Memphis, AR. this afternoon. A great afternoon on the benches along the migthy Mississippi with a bottle of wine with Bonnie watching the barges. We will spend a couple of nights here. Tomorrow we will make our way across the river into Memphis for a evening on Beale Street for some ribs and music; well maybe a beer or two also. On Wednesday we will continue south to Vicksburg, MS. where we will spend a week, doing all the civil war stuff and a little gambling.

  2. Bonnie and I made it to Junction City, Kansas. We are at the New Horizons factory to pick up our new forty-five foot New Horizons Majestic fifth wheel. Not sure how long we will be here, spent the afternoon getting the Teton parked and the New Horizons pulled in along side (door to door). Tomorrow we will place a walkway from door to door and start moving. They have a few minor things to finish up and I will have to get a punch list done. I have seen a couple of minor things and there may be an extra shelf or two to add. All in all after first look we are very pleased with what we have had built, and the workmanship of the trailer. We will post a link to pictures in the near future.

  3. Bonnie and I got to our winter home (RV Lot) at Retama Village in Mission, Texas today at about 2:30 PM. Was set up enought by 4 PM to attend the happy hour / meet your neighbor at the club house. Have to get car we leave here moved (dead battery) tomorrow so we can get into the coach house and get the patio table and chairs out. Then we can get the coach house ready to enjoy as additional entertainment area. All the yard areas and the flower beds are looking great with a summer of growth. Will be staying here for the most part till spring comes to the north country.

  4. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. You never know what you don't have until you don't have. Gail has been doing really great. I know he's still hurting but he's taking commands really well. I just sit in my chair and call them out. Don't know how much more he'll take but I'll take advantage while I can. My cast will be on for three months....nothing more said.

Looking forward to seeing all this Sept. Enjoy the rest of summer. It's really beautiful up here in Alaska.

  5. Ok I too have been "Lurking" on the site for some time. Also have been looking for the right HDT. My wife & I full time (1 3/4 years) in a 2004 40' Teton Reliance (actually 44' 5 1/2"). Plus we have an Overbilt lift on the back (Installed at Teton plant) to carry our 2003 Harley "Ultra Classic". That makes the trailer approximately 49' long. Been pulling with a 2004 Ford F 550, but as you have heard before that is a lot of trailer for the Ford. Would built a garage on HDT for the Harley.
