I'm in Junction City, KS at the Horizons factory - working on my rig. Yes, they are actually letting me help build it.... I am just here for this week. Been working on the BluDot and "all things electrical". Pretty interesting, actually. But the 6am start time is not good
Danielle and Poppy are in AL with the rig. I'm living in the truck in the parking lot (with power). Shower down the block at the truck stop.
Jack: a quick look at weather in Junction City indicates temps in the low teens...betcha you wish Poppy was with you to keep you warm. Might even be a three dog night.

Going to take the Volvo and the 12' trailer to haul the Softail.
Hey, Mike. You've got to share a picture of that setup with us. I'd like to be there when you cross the border and the border agent wonders just how heavy that 12' trailer is.

I made it back from Retama yesterday afternoon ...thought I was gonna need SCUBA gear to get through Houston !!!! Jim
C'mon, Jim, that was just a drizzle! Back about 7 or 8 years ago, it rained over 18" in 24 hours in Houston. Our kids in Houston said this little shower was only about 10" in one day. Sorry we missed you in Mission. Say hi to Hazel and Trash...maybe we'll see you on the way down next Fall. Have a great summer and don't work too hard in your retirement.

We were on the way to Southern Illinois to the family farm but my brother informed me ground around the RV slip is still a little wet from all the rain, so we are sidetracking to Tom Sawyer RV Park in West Memphis, Arkansas for a few days. How bout some suggestions for BBQ from those who have been there?

LaVila and I are picking sand from between our toes on Galveston Beach at Jamaica Beach RV Park for a few days before heading to S. Illinois and Iowa, as weather cooperates!

We are planning to visit with Gene McCall Thursday afternoon with Art and Caroline Fennell. May spend the night and leave for Retama Friday, see how things go. The shortest route from here to there is ???? We have a rattle in the front end ?? so we're avoiding bumpy roads as much as possible till we can have it checked out. Looking forward to seeing ya'all ! By the way, Jay and Vicki are here and we spent the day in Palomas. Jay and Henry are still doing their truck design thing as we speak. D
Davena & Henry: If you are visiting the McCalls in Columbus, I'm sure they'll point you to El Paso on Hwy 9 instead of going back up to Deming and I-10. Hwy 9 is a real smooth two lane blacktop on which you may see only Border Patrol vehicles. Say hello to Gene & Pat for LaVila & me. Travel safe and we look forward to seeing you when you get to the Valley.

Happy Thanksgiving, y'all! Elvira and I finally escaped the Tundra! We're in Houston visiting kids & grandkids for Turkey day, expecting to head to the Valley on Monday or Tuesday.
As my 2 year nephew calls us...Aunt WaWiwa and Uncle Warry.

Mild Texas breezes = 40 knots!

Thanks, everyone for all the 29th birthday wishes. We expect to be in Mercedes for 2-3 more weeks...just waiting for the last Iowa blizzard before heading North.
Jim: Larry procured the valuable salsa recipe for me, he says, which means he wouldn't dream of "upsetting me" by actually doing something in the kitchen. I was hoping you would be back before we leave so I could study at the feet of the master.

We're close by in Mercedes...Llano Grande RV Resort, South on Mile 2 West road. Black Volvo on Barcelona Street. Here most of the time but you might PM us if you decide to drop by.

It is still too cold for LaVila in Canyon Lake, TX. We're heading for Mission today!

Here is a prospect for RDBE Class of 2025...my 18 month old granddaughter, Mirabella. Like the rest of her RDBE sisters, she cried and threw a fit when we removed her from the driver's seat!

I can't tell...does that model have the Freedomline tranny? And which witch is which?

Dennis!!!! If you hurry you can edit out the year of birth. If you look at the calendar you will find only the month and day info. Just looking out for another brother from a different mother.

Pat & Mike: Thanks for the Bday wish. We're in Houston with family for her big day (which we don't acknowledge anymore) and will be heading North to Illinois and Iowa tomorrow.
Mark: "Real men" can do 16 hours on a bicycle seat nonstop, not the cushy air rides in a Volvo!

Hi, Henry & Cindy,
Are you planning a stop at the Flatgards to make sure Steve is keeping up with the mowing?
We headed back to the Midwest after you left New Mexico and will be in Southern Illinois (Benton) when you head back to Greeley. Hope to run into you two sometime.

LaVila and I will be spending at least a month (Feb 16-Mar16) in Apache Junction at Superstition Sunrise RV Park.
-
Larry & Linda: Save LaVila and me a tiny bit of desert (far enough away they won't accuse us Hawkeyes of being Spartans). We'll be there probably Sunday. How about this wonderful weather?
-
Steve: Well, at least two of the three in the cockpit have some idea of where they are. Glad to hear you made a safe journey. We'll be heading to AZ January 9 or 10...look forward to seeing you.

Somebody recommended Llano Grande RV Park in Mercedes in the Rio Grande Valley. We are here for the whole month of December.
-
LaVila says it is too cold in Illinois. We'll be leaving probably Wednesday. We plan on stopping for a day in Livingston then to North Houston for the weekend and then to McAllen area. Anyone know of RV parks down in the Valley that welcome HDTs?
-
Davena: Congrats. Remember, you are not getting old...you are chronologically gifted.
-
Davena: Future participation in any QuickSilver "business meetings" will require signing of waivers, primarily to protect the guilty.
LaVila also wants five calendars. Send them to our MDT BOF address. How much do we owe and where do we send payment?

Rumor has it that Jack & Danielle only cover 100 miles at a time because she insists on stopping frequently to hug her friends the trees. Or is that just after parties?

LaVila sends her thank yous via her personal valet (me). We went to South Padre Island for dinner and had a great time. Thanks to too much publicity on previous successes with her signature drink (Slippery Nipples), she is having difficulty initiating any new Tree Huggers so she is moving to some killer Pina Colada in the 5hp super blender. We just returned from Progresso with a couple gallons of Mexican rum so the ambush can now be planned.
Gee, "Tree Huggers am bush"...that sounds like the way the Huggers were talking as they walked...I mean wandered or crawled towards where they thought "home" was located.
