So, I used to get little email notices when posts were made. However, not anymore. Hmmmm. Maybe I've been zapped! However, anyone already planning fall travels ... or heading to the Balloon Festival in NM? Thought I'd ask.
PS Don't forget to move your peg. I think some folks are "stale" on it.
1Fall???? We are still trying to figure out where we are going this summer!

Very windy drive today from Fort Stockton, Tx. to Kerrville, Tx. 250 miles of south/ southeast winds. My mileage went in the tank. Saw our first Bluebonnets just east of Ozona. Here for a few days then move to Canyon Lake area just north of San Antonio.
Travel safe everyone.

Hey that's where we are!

We pulled a Jeri and flew to North Carolina... In Raleigh to watch our youngest graduate with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Left the RV at the Freightliner dealer for maintenance and will pick it back up in Phoenix on Monday...

Great news, lets all get together for a meal, drink or just a visit. Maybe Jeri and Terry can come down. I know Roger and Lynn are here but there may be others close that can come.
Jerry and Janice
Got in late yesterday - have to take Katie (our daughter is with us) to the phoenix airport tomorrow so we may swing by later today so she can say hi to Lilly. We leave Thursday morning and fly out to North Carolina to watch her graduate from Physical Therapy School so we are busy eating everything in our fridge so nothing spoils while we are gone to NC for 5 days.

We took a cue from Heyduke and have stopped at Golden Village Palms in Hemet. It is a pretty nice place and starting to fill with snowbirds. We got here last Sunday and not sure if we'll be moving this Sunday but probably will.

We are definitely caught in Betty's web. We have decided to stay until the day after Thanksgiving. I think Betty just wants me to cook for the masses. Nah, we love it here and we still have things we want to do. We will be going to the chalk board today and rearranging our plans.
It happens to the best of us...

I just found out that for those of you that are planning on attending the "Big Tent Show" in Q this year, according to the 2017 Visitor's Guide the Quartzsite Sports, Vacation & RV Show (The Big Tent) is scheduled for Jan. 21-29.

We are at Betty's RV Park in Abbeville, Louisiana. We planned this stop last June and now here we are. Those of you have told me how friendly Betty was are so right on. What a gem! There are only 3 other rigs here and 5 are expected tomorrow. We feel lucky. We have taken site 15 over in the corner under the trees. We had planned to be here a week. We have decided to stay two weeks.
I see you already got caught in Betty's web...

Jeri we apparently went right by you in Barstow and I didn;t even know it till I moved my marker on the map...

Your welcome Joe. Nice picture. The sun actually shines there? Wow! We only had showers here one night. Warming to the mid-high 80's for the weekend. I think John and Sharon helped pulling the rain away from the PNW too.
Travel safe everyone.
Jeff
Somebody had to do it...

Keep that sun shining!
We might just make it to Pahrump! We did love the meals at the Winery.
We certainly are enjoying the sunshine and warmth down here in Pahrump...

yep we were in Portland yesterday and went to Bend Oregon to get out of the rain...
-
Yikes sad news indeed...

It started out innocently enough....
Looks like you stayed too long in OKC and got a little rusty... we leave monday after a months stay, hope we fare better...

Right on Dave, now I got another recall from Tiffin about the windshield wiper arm assembly falling apart. Hmmmm I guess I can go to California where it doesn't rain! Oh well if the rain starts and the wipers fall off, and then the steering gearbox falls off, at least I won't know what's going on till it's all over.
my wipers fall off all the time... hope they have a fix...

Sorry to hear about your back. The uneventful drive is like we all want our drives to be. We had some slide toppers replaced when we were in Florida -- not fun and a little issue in itself but all is good now, we hope.
Where you heading after Boise? We had our last birthday party today for another month. We've had four of them in a row and glad that's over with. A family reunion follows next weekend. My cousin is in charge of hosting this year but she wanted to host it at our place .... ugh. When that's over and if Terry doesn't have any more follow appointments, we're taking off for vacation. All I can say is it's about time. We need a rest!! Not quite sure where we'll head yet .... maybe Glacier and maybe not. You know how that goes.
We are slowly making our way to Glacier and should be there this Friday... if time permits we are going to try to stop for a visit near Jim and Sandie, leaving for Livingston Montana this morning

now that is a short moving day... we moved to Dubuque Iowa and can see Wisconsin across the river and for happy hour we drove to Illinois... fun spot right here in Dubuque

No. I had been talking about winter plans. Wondered if John would be spending the winter in Florida since he'd be on that coast.
well if we end up on the east coast we will most certainly winter in Florida

So sorry to hear about your father. Regardless of anything else, I know it's tough on both of you and we wish you nothing but the best.
We don't really have winter plans. Our winter usually starts earlier than winter anyway. We know we'll be in Jacksonville, Florida the middle of October for a wedding. We also figure we'll spend much of the winter in the Phoenix area but don't know yet where exactly. In addition to that we may spend a little time in Palm Springs (or not). I'd also like to do Borrego Springs because we never have and we'll probably be in San Diego a good couple weeks too. Actually, I might start thinking about the reservations there sooner than later. Disneyland is in heavy chalk. Then, we really like the Tucson area but as you know, everything is subject to change if better ideas come along. That's it. Next week you might read something different.
Anyone else have plans in ink?
Not us... we had planned to go west after our Mayo appointments in late July but are now considering an eastward trek... but as you say it is all subject to change

Pulled into Amana Iowa for a few days before moving over to Iowa city for a few more... Almost out of Iowa now!
