  1. Arrived today in Brenda AZ....Black Rock RV Park. will be here until spring when the weather warms too much.

All welcome if you are in the area

I had to go to Google maps to find Brenda AZ. I have to ask, what in hell is there????? It looks like you're about 40+ miles to Blythe and 70+ to either Buckeye or Wickinburg. What is the draw to that area for y'all?

  2. We are still in Tucson waiting to be released from the Dr's. so we can get on the road again. So far it looks like we'll be here at least until the end of January depending on the blood work after changes in meds. We are in good health but the meds take a month to do their thing then they have to be checked again. We hope to be out of here by February to head East into Texas then Louisiana for a new grand child's arrival.

  3. We are currently in Tulsa at the state fairgrounds. Paved clean but small small small spaces. The pull throughs are 45' long and the slides go to the edges of the space. Nice narrow openings guarded by concrete pylons guarding the power pole and water pipe. Fortunately they are not busy and we get to park the toter in the space next to us.

We were here for a neat night of 3 major thunderstorms and one tornado that didn't touch down.

We're leaving Friday morning to go North!!! Gotta to to Elkhart for RV repairs. After that it's look ovver the NW part of the country for a change until the HDT rally.

  4. Troy,

Not happy with not being able to get an estimate on any of it. Not happy with a bill almost half again what I was expecting. Not happy with the length of time it took to get anything done. I know that not being an over the road trucker means I have more time but over 2 weeks for what I had done was way out of proportion. I also had to go back to the shop more than once to remind them what was supposed to happen.

The real kicker was the bill for over $600.00 just to remove the holland and mount the rv hitch on the truck. Whan I asked about having it done I was told it was real easy and only a couple hours. It took them over 3 days to get it done. On the plus side they DID adjust the pin box on the trailer to help compensate for the hitch height change.

I don't mind fixing the truck when it needs it but I do like getting at least a ball park estimate so I can decide ahead of time what I can afford on getting optional or non essential things taken care of.
