  3. What is with this "leaving" the country bit???? Last time I looked, Glacier National Park was in Montana. Now I thought that was still the good ole USA. Did I miss something? Even the"road to the Sun" looks like its all in the USA......

Well I think my truck is a male. its has a good disposition, isn't moody and always quite co-operative. Thats the only way I know to tell....By its actions!!!:-0

    Take care...

  4. Hi Larry!!

We don't do BORDERS. But we pulled a 12' uhaul from Tallahassee, Fl., up here to Custer,SD a few years ago..... Drove the truckers banana's!!! I pulled in all the weigh stations, with my RV only signs slapped on the doors, but not one of them even gave me a second look. Just waved me through. I thought sure I would get to exercise their drug dogs. I was kinda dissappointed!

Hey, JFYI, still don't get ABC,,,,,on the batwing, even after adding the winegard addition.. Must be a mountian in the path!!

  5. Thanks for that info Jack. Pat and I are going to make a trip up to Glacier and on over to CDA next month. Going to take the Volvo and the 12' trailer to haul the Softail. Gone a week to 10 days.....Are they as expensive as the rest of the Rv parks up there? The Steak sound good as Ms Pat says were gona eat out,,,can't cook in the truck!!! do we need reservations? Will my 13.3' be a problem?

Hi Gene and Ann, if your in our area stop by!!

  6. What gives with them?????? Seems they change there name more than any outfit I've ever seen. I'n my opinion that's a BAD policy. We have had Insurance through them for about 10 years. They just get a name established and they go change it.......I'd like them to give some kind of an explination, its the LEAST they could do....

Retired from 30 years in the Insurance business,,,

  7. Henry,

You can check my Blog for the best route from Deming to Retama Village. We just came up that way and heve done that road for years and years, its a good road and not much traffic.

    Try this: http://mikepatstravels.blogspot.com/2009/0...road-again.html

Just take hwy 90 South out of Van Horn to Del Rio...........Easy trip from Deming to the boondock spot I mention, then another easy day on to Mission.

Tell Ole Gene and Pat McCall "hello" from us. We used to go there to his place all the time. he was real sick for a while. Hope he is doing better....

    have a good trip!

  10. Pat and I made went 410 miles today, departed Hutch at 0800 and arrived just over the Arkansas line at Almo at 5 pm. Bought 120 gal of fuel at Checotah, OK for $3.469 gal..........We also changed out a tire to our spare on the shoulder of the highway south of Stillwater, OK. A G614 threw a tread. Thats the very first tire problem we have had in 14 years of fulltiming at about 15,000 per year.........We have been lucky. Damage was minimal.........

We'll be in Little Rock before noon tomorrow....... Anyone wat to buy 6 nice, fairly new 16" Chrome Spoke Teton wheels? We're goin 17.5....

    (I think!!)
