  1. 2005 HR Ambassador Water Pump Inop

2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador Water pump quit working. RV mechanic checked the fuse in coach and it's good. There is power to the switch. No power at the pump. He said that there is a control box in the system somewhere but he doesn't have a clue where it's at. He looked at all of the places where it might be located with no luck. And, there is no inline fuse by the pump. Does anyone have any idea where the control box or the inline fuse might be located? Thanks in advance for any help. Barry
  2. 2005 HR Ambassador Water Pump

Can someone tell me where the water pump is located? I am away from the coach right now so can't go looking for it. When we left the pump would not start but didn't have time to do any troubleshooting. I suspect that I have a blown fuse. Thanks for the help and a Merry Christmas to all. Barry
  3. Cheyenne, WY to Amarillo, TX-Aviod Denver

We will be traveling from F.E. Warren AFB, WY to the Elks Lodge in Amarillo, TX next fall. If it all possible I would like to avoid the Denver Metro area and not take the toll highway. We're not familiar with the back roads east of Denver. Has anyone here done that? Thanks for any help.

  8. Air Conditioning Not Working in Auto Mode

2005 Holiday Rambler, Ambassador, Duro-Them Controller, Dometic Air Conditioners The front air conditioner is not working in Auto Mode. When I switch to Fan High or Low everything works fine. The rear air conditioner works fine. The sensor under the TV cabinet is not blocked by anything. Any ideas? Barry

    Kirk...got one.
  10. Air Conditioning Not Working in Auto Mode

Got 'er figured out. Low power to the parks plug here at the Elks Lodge in Sierra Vista, AZ. We are in the last site at the end of the line. Everything is OK now but will talk to the office about the problem. Not good on stuff in the RV especially high tech devices. Thaks for all the info. Barry
  11. We went over our Verizon data allowance this month, again. I called Verizon and they gave us a $15 credit so we will get 1g more for free. We have looked into the unlimited Verizon is offering right now but we have some concerns: 1. Out MiFi device would be limited to 10gb of 4gLTE then it would drop to 3g. 2. Our phones would have 22gb at 4g then they would be "prioritized" after that. Does anyone have this plan and using a MiFi device? Have you used your phone as a "hot spot" and noticed a large drain on your battery? Does that shorten the battery life? We talked to Verizon but I hesitate to believe a salesperson on this. If we switch we can't go back to the plan we have now.
  12. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

I'm a tad confused about using the ZTE VM6200 - Mobile 4G LTE Wi-Fi Hotspot OBD Device. 1. Would I be paying a fee to AT&T? 2. Do I have to keep it plugged into the RV's OBD? I have seen a 120V adapter so I think I could use that correct? Barry
  13. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

    Thanks for the info pat.
  14. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

    Thanks for the info Blue.
  15. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

It's my understanding that AT&T's plan is very similar to Verizon's.
  16. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

We were told the same thing BUT we were also told that after 10GB of "hot spot" use, that portion wound be throttled. So, after talking to about 6 people at a variety of stores her is what I think the plan is: 1. Your phones will be able to use 22 gigs of data before being throttled. 2. All hot spot use will the throttled after 10 gigs. This includes your phones or a MiFi device. We have a 30 gig plan but we go over that limit sometimes. So to prevent that we will be switching to the unlimited plan. We will use our phones for 9.5 gigs or so and then use the MiFi jetpack for 9.5. If there is still days left in the month we'll just deal with the throttling as it comes. And, we're going to save a few bucks on the price.
  17. Black Tank Flush System

2005 Holiday Rambler Ambassador Went out today to drain and flush the black water tank. Hooked up the hose to the flush water connection and did not hear any water going in. After finishing the drain of the than I blew about 40 PSI thru the hose connection and still no luck. I assume there is a check valve in the system and it is either not functioning or it is clogged. Does this make sense? If there is a check valve where is it located? Thanks very much for any help. Barry
  18. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

  20. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

Thanks Jack. How much is that device a month? Barry
  21. Verizon Unlimited Data Plan

Here is what the Verizon terms and conditions say: "Blah, blah.blah. After 22GB/line/mo, we may prioritize your data behind other Verizon customers during network congestion. Mobile hotspot/tethering reduced to 3G speeds after 10GB/month. More blah, blah, blah." The salesman at a Verizon store told us that the "mobile/hotspot tethering" is for MiFi devices only. Another slesman at another store told me that the 10GB is for ALL hotspot usage. Then I called Verizon and they told me that your not "prioritized" until after 22GB on ALL devices. I'm confused. I am really concerned about ruining our phone's batteries. One of those salesman told me that you can trash your phone's battery by using it as a hotspot even if it plugged into a charger. I don't think that is the case but I am no expert in any stretch of the imagination. For BlueLightning, We are presently on a 30GB a month plan with unlimited talk and text.
  22. 12 Volt Accessory Plugs Quit

Holiday Rambler Ambassador, 2005 All three of the accessory plug on the dash quit working at the same time. I know it's a fuse blown but I'll be darned if I can find it. All of the fuses in the electrical bay have been check ant their all good. Is that one under the dash? I looked under there but didn't see one. Help. Barry

  25. Three dogs and a cat

We have been on the road for 9 years now and have noticed that about 50-60% of the parks restrict you to 2 pets maximum.
