I am afraid of heights but I must say that hot air balloon ride was awesome! Up there with 1000's of other balloons was amazing. Very peaceful.

It has been a amazing first year!!! We spent the winter in Bushnell, got our domicile done and met some amazing people. Then headed north visiting the Chattahoochee National Forest then played in Paducah Ky, then back to florida to get repairs done on our rig, then traded it in, in Louisiana for something smaller. 44' was just to much. So now we are in a C Class deisel 36' . We just finished outfitting it for boondocking, and making it perfectly comfortable for 2 . Hello BLM Then we heading to Livingston Texas and volunteered at the care center. I was not feeling to well in Louisiana but thought it was the stress of switching rigs, and I probably just pulled a shoulder muscle. Low in behold, after 500 test and a week in the hospital I had a series of mini stokes. So I'm on the mends, and made some changes. After all that excitement we headed to Albuquerque NM and enjoyed the Albuquerque NM international ballon fiesta with the escapees group. That was the hightlight of the year!!! If you get the chance to do it.... We took a hot air balloon ride on our anniversary. ❤❤❤ then visited Carlsbad NM. We are now heading toward quartzside to see what all the fuss is about, then off to California for a 18 day cruise around Hawaii.

It has been a busy summer. Lol Made lots of plans that turned out to be just idea's. We ended up down sizing, I had a couple of medical scares and still nursing a reinjured shoulder from a fall last winter. 

We are currently sitting here in Livingston Volunteering at the Care Center, it is 2 fold beneficial. We get the down time for the month and we get to help a wonderful group of people. I cant say enough good things about the care center and the residents. <3

We are looking forward to the International Balloon Fiesta with escapees in October, then off to southern Texas for a sandy beach winter.

Congratulations Rav! Glad you found the one for you I hope by now you are both feeling better too.

We are still sitting in Florida till the end of the month. As much as we have enjoyed it here.... we are itching to start our summer adventures!

Well, we've been living in the bus since August, but mostly in the driveway. The house closes on the 15th and we hit the road permanently.

Glad your having a good time. just keeping our fingers crossed that we will get out of Virginia after closing Friday before snow hits and we get stuck.

Our daughter is aquiring our bed today, so we decided to move into the RV in a nearby campground. We go to closing on the house this Friday. So I suppose our full time status and anniversary date is officially today!? The RV is is a mess! So much unpacking and organizing to do!

Lol, and we will be checking into summerdale on January 1st for the month. Passing ships in the night! Will anybody happen to be in Livingston in February?

We picked up our FT rig and I am refusing to leave it, so I consider us FT :-). S&B didn't sell though, so we will station our rig at a park near it when we re-list house for sale in the spring.

 

We are in TX atm, going to loop around the gulf to be in Tampa in time for the Newmar rally at the Tampa RV show 1/17. Then we will hang out in FL and GA until March.

 

DH would love to help you with that wine :-). I used to brew beer a few years back

We were considering taking our S&B off the market but our realtor informed us that we could close on our home from wherever we are. They would have FedEx papers to where we are and signed in front of a notary and FedEx them back.

Big D stop by Bushnell if you get a chance

It's getting close to the end of the 2016 year. Can we get a roll call on everyone that has graduated or will be graduating before the end of the year?

 

We will be officially full-time December 9th when we go to closing on the S&B.

 

We will be heading to Ft Myers for a couple days to get a slide repair then back up to Bushnell for domicile business. In January we will be in AL, and February we will visit Tx. Will anyone else will be in the area? We will have wine to share leftover from my wine cellar as I was a winemaker. I will still be tinkering with small batches of winemaking in the RV when we are parked for a spell. So we will always be looking for taste testers

Congrats on getting your house under contract! Now the real fun begins cleaning it out! We closed on ours last July so it's all too fresh in our minds! We had only moved into our rig full time about 2 weeks when we went to the Escapee boot camp and rally in Essex Jct, VT. Perfect timing and it was right in our backyard so to speak.

 

FYI, we were in Florida last week staying at 3 Flags (TT) in Wildwood and tending some business in Zephyr Hills so we drove through Bushnell and stopped at Sumter Oaks to check it out for the future, In talking with 2 very friendly guys in the office, I would say that if you haven't already called them and seen about reservations you should do so right away. They spoke of it being full and sometimes hard to get reservations in the peak winter months. It's a relatively small park but looked very nice with mature trees and nice shade and folks seemed very friendly.

 

We are Thousand Trails members as well as SKP's and we just got to Lake Conroe TT in Willis TX yesterday. Wow! What a nice facility. We'll be in TX through early December then heading to Tucson area for Dec and earl Jan. We'll stop at Las Cruces along the way to visit White Sands and in mid-January will join the Escapee Boomers at Quartzsite to see what that's all about.

Following your advise, I went ahead and called and made our reservation. Glad I did. They only had two 50amp spots left and only for 2 weeks. So we may have to go to a 30amp site or different CG if it takes longer. It's hard to make plans when we don't know how long we will need to finish up in Bushnell, but we plan to head to Livingston and then on to Arizona possibly. Following 70° weather is the goal.

Fingers crossed we may make the class of 2016 after all! Offer has been made on our sticks and bricks, we are holding off on accepting till Sunday as we have 6 more showings between tomorrow and Sunday! Wheel estate in waiting

We have considered the exact same thing. With the exact same it itenerary. We want to do the boot camp in TX, then off to AZ. I don't know much about the Newmar gathering but it sounds up our alley.

 

We are looking forward to this new adventure and meeting great like minded folks along the way.

Hi everyone, looks like we are late to this party but we are hoping to be full-time by the end of this year. In the last few months we have bought our toad, bought our RV, liquidated almost everything in the house and we have it on the market. All we need is a buyer and we are out of here! We went to FL to get our new to us 2014 Newmar Ventana then drove it home to Virginia which was the worse tease ever!
