  1. Hey Dennis. Wrong Fusion. I was trying to hurry and get parked and the truck was still in the road. Some guy got mad cause I was in his way. The he pulled through some rough terrain to pull his fusion out. Said I was blocking the road. Well I just rebooted and went to bullhead city. Parked along the banks of the Colorado River for a couple of days.

  2.

Ron, I'm not sure if you are talking to me, because no one has parked near me for more then a day or so and they are more then a 100 feet away. What location are you at? I'm at the BLM site at mile marker 194 north of Lake Havasu. I'm in the Fuzion 5th wheel with yellow dune buggy parked by it, there are a couple of Fuzion toy haulers here.

  3. We are still in Quartzsite on Plamosa north, south side of the road. Getting real empty now. Closest neighbor is about 300 yards. Going into town now is a breeze. Will leave here Sunday and go to "Lazy D" campground in Parker to refresh then head out for Lake Havasu.

Will go to the north side BLM area and pull in for a lengthy stay if its not too crowded. Hope to see some of the fireworks going on

there. Seems empty in the forum with IYQ not here! Hope he gets the problem solved. Ya'll stay safe out there and we,ll see you down

    the road somewhere.

  4. Ron and Linda, we are at the 14 day BLM spot 5 miles north of Lake Havasu. It is a nice spot with a view of the valley. It is between mile marker 194 and 195 on the right on Hwy 95. If you come here look me up, we're in the 40' Fuzion toy hauler on the south side.

There are other spots south of town I believe mile marker 173 and Craggy wash by the airport, but I don't think there as nice as this one.

    Dennis

[Hey Thanks Dennis! We will head that way in a few days. We will look for ya'll.

  5. We're back on Plamosa Rd. About a mile west of where we were at. Had to come here to watch the Super Bowl. Can someone tell me how to get

to the 14 day BLM area around Lake Havasu? Rode the bikes over to visit with Jeff and Tina. They were still in the same spot. Hey Lee, sounds like your having some bad luck. Hope you get it straightened out. Ya,ll be safe!

  6. Well, we,re leaving tomorrow. Hope to be in Q within a week. I will watch for the coordinates as we get closer. Got a pretty good look on Google Earth as to the location. We generally drive about 250 miles a day. Anxious to meet

everyone. Will try to load up with firewood an the way. Ron and Linda

  7. Things are beginning to wind down here in southern texas and we'll be loadin' up and heading for Q. What dates should I work with so we can meet up with everyone? I've got to spend a couple of days in Del Rio and then mosey on that way. As we get closer, I'll get some coordinates from ya'll. All I know now is Plamosa Rd. Looking forward to meeting everyone. I need to pick some minds so as to learn more tricks of the full-time life style. Count me in on helping Lee with anything setting up his trailer! Ron

  8. Well ya'll. We have honkered down here in southern Texas to enjoy these 78-80 degree temperatures. Have been watching those temps in Quartzsite and is scaring me. After almost 30 years in Florida, my blood has gotten' thin. I pull my "long johns" on after it reaches 65. Low 40's and upper 30's aint getting it. But I can tuff it out for a month but not two! Will try to pull into Quartzite on or around the 10th of Jan. I will get with ya'll to find out where on Plamosa Rd. Till then Ya'll bundle up and stay warm.

  9. Palamine, Thank you for the invite but IYQ is right. We got the invite some time ago and will ask for the coordinates when we get there. Does anyone know a guy buy the name of "Clinton".. met him in

Sam Houston State park. Said he was a member of escapees for 13 years. Is a bluegrass picker. His domicile was Indiana and his new wife's is near the Brownsville area. I think him and his present wife lost their spouses a year or two ago and remarried. He was headed toward the McAllen Tx area but that was about all the info I could get. He was in a motor home with toad. I wish I knew more Thanks.

IYQ, where you at that's its so dang cold?

  10. Was in Port Mansfield today. 23 miles due east of Raymondville Tx. Right along the bay. The place is infested with deer and turkeys. Cheap t-day dinner here. Just step out the back door and "POW"

Gobler and venision. The deer are all tame and looking for a hand out. The locals say the bucks get a little crazy during "Rut". which is going on right now! The local café had to build a fence around the outside dining area to keep one of the big bucks out. I estimate we saw about 200 to 300 deer in everyone's yards. Neat experience. We will leave here around the 8th of Dec and head for Laughlin Air Force base. Need to renew the wifes ID card. Will stay on base at the fam-camp there. Then on to "Q". Looking forward to the education I'm going to get while there. Gonna be looking for some of you while there. Have a very nice Thankgiving everyone!! Eyeball to eyeball in "Q".

  11. Hey Ya'll! Been a while since checked in last. Gettin' used to this new life style! Stopped in at rainbow's end. Got our mail services started. was going to head west when that"arctic vortex"? got in our way so we just turned the steering wheel hard to the left and ended up in Raymondville,

Texas! Anyone ever been here? Let me tell you, its cheap livin' but I figured out why. The WIND has not stopped blowing less than 20 MPH since we got here on the 12th of Nov. We decided to pay for a month and kick back before heading to AZ. I may leave early if this wind doesn't stop.

I don't know if my slide awnings are going to survive. Well, I'll try to keep in touch a little better from now on. Ya'll take care!

I like the stories about the pac rats and the deer with the Christmas lights. IYQ has an answer for everything LOL.

  12. We're officially on the road! Left Leesburg fl on the 29th. Spent 3 days in 3 rivers state park fl. Now in buccaneer state park ms. Heading for Sam Houston state park in LA tomorrow. Destination: quartzite. Have no idea what to do when we get there. I bet I will find out. HANG ON!

  13. Thank you everyone! Guess I got a little shook up when all this happened so fast. The encouraging words helped us both. Got a buyer for the wife's car today. Will move the fiver into position for loading tomorrow. Now for the decision making "take it " or "leave it". Going to go through the "stuff". I don't want to get too heavy! My GCVW is 23,000 lb. Last time I weighed was 18,800. My

goal is to keep it under 20,000. I'll weigh it on the way out of town. Hopefully in a couple of weeks. Thanks again ya'll. Ron and Linda
