  1. Linda & Classless Class just an update.

The Steps south on Lake Havasu is AZ Trust Land & is now being enforced as that. You can get a 14 day permit to stay there. $15 a person or $20 for a family.

    www.azland.gov for additional info.

We have been told the pass doesnt take long to get.

  2. Sitting here in Hawthorne, NV this morning and the temperature is 27 degrees. Dang will it ever warm up? Had a short day yesterday, was set up oin the park by noon. After a short Steve I did laundry and just goofed off. Should find myself in Lost Wages area before today is over.

    Joe

Joe~~You left too soon. The low in the Land of Island Living & Big Birds was only 49 last nite~~ :-)
  3. Here on the south side of Mt Baker (near Concrete)the next 7 days supposed to have upper 70's to mid 80's but Joe is a lot closer to the water so is usually cooler this next week upper 70's & Sunny :-)

Yes I think the PNW is the best place this time of year.

Just think 4 days ago we had up to 2+" of rain & now Beautiful Warm SUN~~~

  4. Morning everyone. We are sitting in a nice RV park just Southwest of Charleston, SC. called Lake Aire RV park. They parked us right by a little pond full of ducks and in a clearing so our TV and wifi work fine. They have a civil war reenactment today just north of here so we're going to head out and see that. The temp here is 75 during the day and 40s at night. We will probably stay here about 4 days then head out to Atlanta to see my cousin. Then we will head for Red Bay, Alabama to have a couple of things done on the bus at the Tiffin factory. We have a "wet bay" floor issue that they are going to warranty and we are going to also replace the carpet. Don't know how long that is going to take, as it is "first come first served", but I guess we'll find out. Looks like Florida for sure next, so we won't be heading West until spring. Y'all come down, here!

Glad your going to get the wet bay under warranty. We did ours last March. Did the factory tour again. Don't remember if you've been to Red Day before...You have to go out to Coon Dog Cemetery if you have time.

  5. From Don F

Steve (and Yoda) -- where in OH r u?!? We're heading to Edon when the storms lighten up (maybe Wed), getting wheels replaced (under warranty, due to clear coat peeling off)... then, onward to Elkhart for a few RV shop "treats" (BigFoot visit, slide-out service, Mor/Ryde visit), and Chicago to get a new muffler on the smart car.

Don...We are about as far North West as you can get in Washington. We are in Oak Harbor, Washington on Whidbey Island. We have a house on the west side of town & at nite can see the lights of Vancouver Island & the city of Victoria, Canada. B)

Joe Spiker also has a home base here not far from us.

Sounds like you have a busy month. Travel Safe...Yoda is looking forward to seeing you again @ Q... & us too. :)

Joe...If your out driving on West Beach give us a call. 2063009193 The MH is @ my brothers but we are spending some time @ the house.

  6. Sitting on the bluff overlooking the ocean in Pacific Beach, WA. Hooked the antenna to the Verizon MiFi this morning and I have internet. Spent yesterday at the Ocean Shores Convention Center listening to Irish music. We will be heading back today for more of the same. Raining here, but what else would one expect in the PNW.

    Joe

I even managed to get my pin moved on the map. :o

Joe...Let us know when your back. We have moved to OH.

    Safe Travels over the border

Were in Birch Bay for another week or so.

If your @ the Mt Vernon Walmart again the all you can eat asian resturant across the street was good last year. I don't remember $$

The SKP chapter 5 meets there for lunch once a month.

  8. Just got back from a week in the sun of Kauai, Hawaii. While it's not raining, YET, the sky is gray and the wind is blowing 30+ miles an hour. Oh well, break out the foul weather gear and go for a walk. <_<

    Joe

I thought you were going to bring some of that Sun back with you? I've adjusted to the Gray & rain But the Gusts @ 50+ this far north is getting old. We have a Wingard antena & I have to keep putting it down for the wind @ least once a week for a day or so. And I bring in the big slide for the topper noise. Four to 6 more weeks up in Blaine.

Do you know any good eating places around the area we might try?

  9. I'm heading for the laundry room at the Roost now. As for the "Live in Maid", maybe I need to rethink that one. It has stopped raining, but there are lakes everywhere. Heck I left the PNW to get away from the rain. :(

    Joe

Joe, Even though we have left the PNW to get away from the wet stuff after talking to our daughter & telling her were having the rain we left she tells us she has to scrape her windows to go to work & then again to come home  ...I think Im going to accept this short stretch of Dust control  It's raining here in Peoria too :(

  10. We will arrive in time to meet Sandie & Jim. It is our plan to be there on or about the 1st.

Our first year we did gather near the dump station..1st road to the right over 2 washs and on the right. However we found it a little dusty. I really won't know for sure where we will gather until we get there. But you could hold that place down until we arrive..Just go out and put a rock wall up around the whole spot :) :) :) I am sure that Sandy & Jim Allgire will be there before we are. See all of you soon. By the way I am trying to nail down some grills that will hold a soup pot size pan for the chili. Any in your crowd that you know of??

Linda, Not sure if we'll be to Quartzsite before the 15th? Were now in Phoenix area to see friends & Christmas with Grand Kids

    Sandy & Steve

  11. Managed to squeeze on more trip out of the warp drive yesterday. Back in Florida now preparing to head back west. Not real sure of my route or stopping points yet. Only plan is to be in Yuma the 15th.

Steve, not a lot of Christmas lights out yet. I really don't understand what makes people put up with living that way though.

    Joe

Joe...We landed in Hi Jolly Q. for a day or two. Can't remember if you ever stayed @ Betty's RV in Abbyville, LA. We went out to Avery Island LA. & visited the Tobasco factory. You would enjoy Betty's RV. 337-893-7057

  12. We had a nice visit with Steve, Sandie and "Yoda",yesterday. They pulled into the Eugene Elks after dark and we walked to Applebee's to "break bread". Talked about everyone, so all of your ears should be ringing this morning. They are going to fuel up and head out south this morning. Last time we saw them was in Feb 09 at a BLM site just West of Tuscon. That's what this lifestyle is all about. They are also going to be in "Q" in Jan for the class get together. Steve

Yes...Had a very nice visit with Steve & Carol. Had a Baddd Wiskey Steak with them & Since were class of 07 they caught us up on the adventures of the 08-09 group

We pulled out while Steve & Carol were still ZZZZZZZ. Sorry we couldn't have stayed longer. :( But had plans to see our class mates Howie & Norah by Sacramento tomorrow.

We pulled into the Rolling Hills Casino in Corning Cal. before dark. That's 2 long days but tomorrow we only have 2 hrs to go :)

Looking forward to seeing 08-09 in Jan @Q B)

  13. We will still be here, probably until next week. We are at the Eugene Elks club on 11th Ave. On the West side of town. We're not going Black Friday shopping, so we should be around the bus. there's only one other RV here and it's an old 5th wheel. Give us a PM if you stop in Eugene and we'll see if we can track you down. Steve

Well do. Looking forward to seeing you guys again.

  14. WOW, did Cory finally kick you guys out? :-) I'm still in Florida enjoying the grand kids and warm weather.

    Travel safe

    Joe

Well we decided the rent was getting too high :-) & it's getting a little wet :-( Need to dry out the webs between the toes. Glad your enjoying Florida...Maybe we'll see you in Q if not before?

  15. Happy Thanksgiving! all y'all! Hope everyone has a great one out there. We are parked behind the Elks Club in Eugene for ours. We have the turkey in the oven, and after yesterday's session with the Satellite place we can watch football. Yeah!

I'll tell you our satellite story later! Steve

Steve How long are you & Carol going to be in Eugene? Were leaving Oak Harbor Friday AM & think we'll get to Eugene or Salem area for the nite.

  16. Steve 44 & Carol

If you have time & Stop around Lincoln City take a day trip east on Hwy 18 to McMinnville. The Evergreen Air & Space museum is a must see. Great exhibit's. It's where the Spruce Goose is housed. When we were there the blackbird was sitting under the wing of the Spruce Goose. www.evergreenmuseum.org or just google Evergreen Space Museum.

  17. Lee sorry to hear both about your friends bad luck and your pain. Hope both resolve themselves real soon.

Hmmmmm last I heard the cities of Vancouver, WA and Portland, OR called out the National Guard to TRY and control the goings on of 4 Escapees. Also heard that you can now find pictures of them at most Post Offices.

Managed to get my pin rescued from the wilds of north central Washington and returned to the ole Homestead. However since I'm gonna move just a bit south later today, and use the Tablet to change the location, I wonder just where it might end up showing me. :o I'm not gonna get far enough south to get in Jeri, Terry, Steve, and Carol's way though. :D

    Joe

Joe, So now just when we finally get ready to move back over to Oak Harbor your leaving :(

  18. There is a small Wallmart in Oak Harbor near Safeway & Albertsons. There is Rv park @ city beach Windjammer Park I think it's called Staysail RV $20 full hookups. But they may be full. That's where the car show is. The Elks in town has some Rv parking too.

But just because the Doghouse left town means there's more room @ that park  Maybe the Doghouse was just moving to make more room :)

  19. I am in Port Townsend across the water from Joe's place. Spent some time with the spy scope checking out his place. I noticed Joe had changed his fuel tank in the back of the White Knight and has hidden his Cranberry juice and baaaad whiskey in the converted tank. Now all we have to do is make sure he doen't hide the truck. Sneaky devil, he is but we are on to him now. Tomorrow I plan on moving onto the island and block one exit to prevent his running away with the goods.

    Jerry

Too Late...We saw Joe leaving the Island with the Doghouse & truck about 1:30 today...

This Sat in Oak Harbor is the car show. Last year I think they had about 300 cars etc. And a craft show in Coupeville.
