  1. SOLD! Thanks! RVibrake2 - This is an excellent and easy to use auxiliary braking system. It is the smallest and easiest to use for flat towing a car behind an RV. Unlike other portable braking systems, RVibrake2's housing pushes against the floor pan (the rise in the floor where the driver’s seat is mounted) in the tow vehicle instead of the soft seat when activating. This allowed RVibrake2 to be designed as small as possible making RVibrake2 easy to install and easy to stow. (15% thinner than the original RVibrake). We bought it 2 years ago for $1050, and have used it for 1 cross-country trip (approx 6000 miles from NY to California via Florida), without any problems. I liked this system so much I purchased the RVIBrake3 with the tire monitoring at Escapade in Tucson! It's a snap to use. I will ship it in the RVIBrake3 box, complete brake system including the wireless monitor, antenna and unused breakaway system. Manual is in NY, but you can download it from the manufacturer. You can order accessories from the manufacturers website: http://rvibrake.com/collections/shop Asking $500 + $30 shipping. I will be in the Sacramento area until the end of April, then near Eugene Oregon in May so if you want to save shipping and are in the area we can arrange personal delivery! SOLD, Thanks!
  2. Thanks for all the replies. We're going to stick with the Escapees mail service, and all of our addresses that may have tax consequences will have the Florida address on the advice of our financial consultant. To be consistent, I'll have SS as Florida too. I don't want any questions about which state is our actual domicile. EVERYTHING will be electronic - so very little actual mail should be sent to the Florida address. We also have a vacation cabin in a high-tax state, so I don't want any chance that they will go after us for income taxes. Thanks again... 4 1/2 weeks to go! Jeff @ RVBuiltForTwo.com
  3. You might check out RVI Brake (http://rvibrake.com/). Installation was easy and required no wiring. We love it, and it's had great reviews. Trippin' Engles @ RVBuiltForTwo.com
  4. Wow! We are almost there. 7 weeks to go before FT! We've read a ton of articles and posts about domicile options and steps, the Escapees articles have been great. We have decided to actual domicile in Bushnell Florida and that will be our first stop after retiring. We will be using Escapees for the mail service and have the Texas 'main' mail address and the Florida 'legal' address. I know that vehicle registrations need to have the Florida (vs. Texas Escapee general mail address). For tax and domicle purposes should all income type addresses also be Florida (i.e. Social Security, Annuities, retirement checks)? What have you done? Thanks! Almost there... i apologize if this has already been answered - but I couldn't find it doing a search. Trippin' Jeff @ RVBuiltForTwo
