I whole heartedly agree with Jeri. I remember meeting you and Dave even before the graduation in Q. We were in Needles and had lunch at Denny's. I also remember the second year we were there with the new members of 2009. Everyone had already moved on and we were the only two rigs left and with a little wood left we had one last campfire. These are the memories I cherish.

The other Linda

Thanks. I remember that Denny's and their steep driveway. Good thing you guys drove since our View would never have negotiated that driveway. But, the thing for which I am most grateful to you is introducing us to Emerald Cove. I'm pretty sure I've spent more time there than you have. :)

Linda - I can't believe anyone was offended by your need to charge your batteries at home. The older I get, the more I need that also. I was usually the first one to leave the campfires and go home because that was all I could handle. We enjoyed the time you spent with us and hope you realize that we consider you and Dave our friends.

I think no one would have been offended if we understood what was happening. But, we didn't back then. So, some people in the Class of "08 just saw me ignoring them and not participating in group activities and were hurt by that. For that, I am sorry. Plus, I am hoping my recent explanation will help others deal with introversion in the future.

Yes, we consider you two our friends as well as all the other class members we've met. I'm just sorry an update to my computer has insisted that I can no longer comment on your blog. Be sure I am still reading each post, though.

Responding for Doug and I, we had no issue with you wanting "alone" time.  At times, in fact, we thought that you were lonely and wanted company.  We made arrangements to cook for you at Craggy Rock in Lake Havasu.  I sewed curtains for your little rig.

The lifestyle that we all have chosen allows for many scenarios;   anywhere from huge crowds like at Quartzsite, medium get togethers with 4 or 5 rigs to alone time.  We often follow the Quartzsite experience with being out somewhere alone.

As most of you know, our youngest son has autism and stresses at lot at social events.   He knows to take them in small doses.

We all understand.

I have fond memories of those meals you cooked for me. Thanks.

The buyer of that rig when I sold it thanked me for the curtains you sewed.

You are a good friend.

Sandie posted a new blog which I can read but not post comments. So, I'll say here it was good to see Freddie and Delcie in the pictures. The rest of you I see in photos more often. :)

We are alive and well !  Yep we had a beautiful grandson born on November 27.  He is such a joy!

We haven't given up the travel bug.  We sold our dually truck and fifth wheel but are looking at travel trailers.  We hope to get something suitable for traveling to the SW during the winter months (Jan, Feb, March).  Hope to keep it small.

Marsha is doing well after her stroke about a year ago.  Physically she is back to normal although has taken on a little "Italian" accent.  Cute!  She is an inspiration to me for sure.

Thanks for asking about us.  We hope to be out west next winter and hopefully we'll see some of you!

Enjoy your summer travels and be safe!

Glad to hear that Marsha is doing so good. We sure hope you can make it out this way next year. Jim is also doing better but he's definitely not ready to do any rving yet. So we will be spending our summer in nice warm AZ. However, this week is absolutely perfect. Highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s. The nights are wonderful.

Sure miss our get togethers.

Not to be left out, here we are, the Lairds.

Living our life in paradise.  Yes folks this area is paradise.  Warm (today is 27*c which is 80.6*F) and green.  Doug has planted a massive garden, mostly in planters and pots on our two decks.  We have had to learn about what deer won't eat and plant accordingly.  We are eating lettuce and spinach already and have a ton of herbs.

This is not forever.  Once I get my medical issues fixed up, and the garden is done, we will be on the road.  Not full-time mind you but we will be in Arizona this fall/winter and are so looking forward to seeing the old gang.  In the meantime, if anyone wants to escape the hot, hot temperatures, it might be cooler here.  We have a huge driveway and would love to see you.  We may meet up with some before then.

As for my medical issue, we have to be patient and wait for the specialist.  We were at the GP this morning and he assures us that he is doing everything to get it hurried up.  In the meantime, my mobility sucks and I have NO energy, but alas no Italian accent.

Love to you all.

It was good to here from you all. Congratulations to you Paul and Marsha on becoming grandparents. They are a joy for sure. We are keeping busy here in Virginia. Ed is working on another ship model. See the picture of the last one he did. They take a very long time so it keeps him busy. He is also working part time at a local market, Publics. For those who have been to Florida you might have been to one. They use baggers and that is what he does. Works about 4 to 5 hours a day. I haven't worked since last October and now I am getting bored so am looking for something part time also. However for me, I can only work mornings as I have also become my granddaughters Uber driver LOL! She is a cheerleader at school and there is no late bus, so I pick her up from school.

Sorry to hear that you are having some health issues Toni. Hope you get them taken care of soon. It seems that this is going to be the best way to keep up with everyone. Most no longer have blogs, and not all have facebook. So lets keep this up!!

I got a text this morning from Sandie telling me I needed to check in.  She's right.  I used to get emails when someone posted on this site but it doesn't happen now.  So, I tend to forget to do that.  Still love the group.  Still wish we could all get together at least one more time ... and, why not?  Why can't we?  We had a great group or rather we still do have a great group.  It's just that we don't get to see each other often.  However, that doesn't mean out of sight, out of mind !

I am really hoping that we can have a get together in AZ this winter. Hopefully by then Jim will be strong enough to do some rving for a few days.  I know I'll be more than ready.  And I would love to see everybody that's available again.

Wow ! It's great to see some activity again on here. We might be able to make it  to AZ this next winter too. Our house and lawn are getting established so we think we can travel again. Still have the same Super C and we will be taking off late next week for Colorado, Moab back through New Mexico to Texas.  We'll be gone from home about a month.

Our 19 year old Granddaughter is flying into Denver to meet us then spending the summer with us. We haven't had a "kid" at living with us for nearly 22 years. This will be another kind of adventure for sure. LOL!

It would be great to see everyone again in Arizona.

Travel safe everyone.
