Christmas in Aug.?

That is where we are now, Christmas MI, didn't make it to Marquette (yet).

If you're still near Munising, be sure to do Pictured Rocks. The boat ride is awesome, and you get some really great pics. :o

We're in Brunswick, MD now, then back to Gettysburg Tuesday for a couple of days.

Then we meander toward the GJR and Escapade. :o

Passed up the rocks, and passed up Marquette, talk about wrong turns!!!!

We are in Baraga, at little casino boondocking. They have 10 FH sites for $20 a night but they are full right now. We may get one after the weekend.

Marquette had the county fair and a motorcycle race going on so we kept on rolling.

Paul & Connie,

You need to point that rig toward us north of Pittsburgh!!! Dave & Kathy will leave tomorrow AM but Jim & Nancy will be here all week....come on up and join us.

Good food and fellowship last night even if the rain did chase us inside for dessert. Tonight we and the Tidballs will introduce the Bennetts to the original Quaker Steak & Lube for dinner.

We have had a great couple of days parked next to Dave & Kathy and visiting with Ron & Linda. We Western Pennsylvanians introduced the Bennetts to the original Quaker Steak and Lube in nearby Sharon. We had a great meal and spent the evening catching up on everyones travels and sharing tales of life on the road. As I write we are watching Dave and Kathy pack up to head to Niagara Falls. We are planning to see Ron and Linda again before we head out on Friday. Meeting up with friends is one of the great things about this lifestyle.

Sorry we're gonna miss you guys, but we're booked into a COE park in Ohio. We've been surrounded by people since early June and planned some time alone before the rallies.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm guessing we'll see ya in FL this Winter. :P

We will be staying at Mill Creek COE park in Berlin Center,OH. Appears to be about 70 miles from Wooster, with Canton conveniently about half-way between. I'm thinking maybe a lunch or dinner get together. :)

Hi Gang Well Joe the park rangers told Kathy to tell the guy in the bus with white knuckles and crying that they do not issue permits for barrel rides over the falls anymore.. We had a great time today the falls are a wonderful experience. Will do the Canadian side tomorrow.

Its a small world Keith & Donna Greene knocked on our door this morning They were in Boerne this spring for the class reunion. They have been following the forum and thought that our RV looked familiar and put two & two together. They are parked two spots up we didn't have much time this morning to talk but we will try and get with them tomorrow afternoon I hope.

Usually we are all reading about the encounters and adventures of the class in the winter. Seems like seeing the country east of the Mississippi is the thing this year. We are looking forward to seeing more of all of you!!!

Fay took him to a hospital in Marion VA yesterday, and then she drove the MH from there to Durham NC. last night (go Fay go). and Jay was transported by ambulance.

They are waiting on a second nuro surgon to look at him now.

Today is their anniversary to top it off.

As of 430 eastern time, they are still waiting on the second surgeon to come and explain everything. He has scheduled surgeries all day, and is in and out. So we are still all waiting.

Sending our Hugs & prayers to Jay & Fay too.

Has anyone talked to Hank & Patti recently?

Connie and I were fortunate enough to spend a pretty full day with Hank & Patti last week. (11th) Patti seems to be doing very well. She's doing Chemo and a bi-weekly treatment in Baltimore. Hank is taking good care of her and is also doing pretty well where they are.

Their schedule is centered around her treatments, but they have a great Condo (huge) overlooking the water. and they seem to be settled in for the next several months. (ending sometime Spring 2011 hopefully)

I'm pretty sure they will get back on the road, but also know they would be very comfortable in that area if they can't. (Solomons, MD)

I know they read the posts and try to keep track of everybody, but like everyone else, lots on their plate.

We're in Berlin Center,OH at a COE park until Monday. Then we are heading for Elkhart CG for a week, then the GJR, closely followed by the Escapade in Goshen. :D

The doctors said the tumor was 5X5X5 cm, and from the looks of the mri it was malignant, (but that was only a guess). They started him on antibotics today, and other meds, they will do the surgery as soon as they can schedule him in, (tomorrow or saturday most likely). Fay has gotten some rest after her drive last night. Jay's daughter and friend Darnell are there with them now.

Thats all I know now, I will update as I learn new news.

Fay did say to tell everyone thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, Joe, for keeping us posted on Jay, and thanks, Paul, for the update on Patti.

Continued thoughts and prayers for both Jay and Patti.

Safe travels to all, especially to those headed to the GJR and Escapade.

I'm currently in Harrisburg, OR attending a two-day Camp Freightliner session to learn all about my chassis, not so that I can or will do any of the work on it myself, but just to gain some knowledge.
