Hams,

I'll be in Havasu for the fireworks (WPA's Winterblast) that starts on the 13th. Won't be heading for Bullhead City until later in the month.

Steve

Cool! We'll be at Katherine Landing/Laughlin 'til around mid-March.

Hey People,

We are still in Tucson, between the VA and brakes on the car and getting parts for coach, having carpets cleaned we have been very busy. Speaking of good eating one of the locals told us about a place called Claim Jumpers Restaurant. WOW! It is corporate owned and it was fabulous!. They have a reputation for large portions. I guess so. We brought home more than we ate. Paula worked on the dessert for four days. I had a small portion at the restaurant, because of the Diabetes. It was very reasonably priced. The manager brings you you tab and ask if all was ok and wants to hear any comments you care to make. No doubt we will be back there. Any way we will be back in Q Tuesday and hopefully, if Steve and others are in Plamosa Road area we can get together over coffee and catch up.

Dick,

Well, Mike Vogley is down in Yuma....don't know his plans.

I'm leaving "Q" either Monday morning or Tuesday morning and heading up to Cragy Wash, just south of Lake Havasu City. Going to stay there for several days to watch the fireworks from the WPA Winterblast, which starts the 13th.

Don't know if any other classmates in the area right now.

If you head north give a yell, would love to meet up.

We are parked for the next two weeks at Riverside Casino RV Park. . .Site 136R in Laughlin. . .we'll probably be in this area through mid-March. Come on up, Steve. . .Joe's Crab Shack awaits! We spent one night at Katherine's Landing; and, discovered that our house batteries wouldn't hold enough charge to run our inverter. . .gonna look at them while we are here. In addition, we had zero internet connection at Katherine's Landing. . .can't survive very long without being connected!

Hi, guys, I bought my last boat at Katherine's Landing. Stayed at Harrahs casino in Laughlin, as the rooms were cheap there and I had room to park the trailer. Sure was fun pulling my new purchase up that hill to Kingman. It was a 31' Carver and believe you me my poor 3/4 ton pickup had it's tongue hanging out before we got to the top. That sure was a busy marina in June when we were there.

We usually turn our inverter off at night because it takes power to run it also. Sure makes our batteries last longer. Steve

Jeff & Suzanne,

Glad to see you made it. Too bad about the batteries - - there is a Sam's Club in Bullhead city if you need some new 6 volt Golf Cart batteries - - we got four there in '07 when we had battery problems.

Nice and warm in Mesa. We're still stuffed from our foray to Organ Stop pizza!

Well, the problem with having to turn the inverter off at night is how else can we watch Craig Fergerson?? <_<

We are at Riverside Casino RV Park in Laughlin, site 136.

We are in Las Vegas from the 26th to Mon the first. Thinking about stopping in your area for two nights, taking a motorcycle ride over to Oatman. How pricey is that place? I had a coupon in the RV Journal magazine but I think it got tossed out.

Hi Froggi. . .C'mon by; but, call us just in case we are at the Avi playing bingo with Suzanne's aunt. . .I'll PM our number. You can camp at Ridgeview for two nights for $19.95 www.sunriseresorts.com click on web specials (they are also Passport America for non-weekend dates). Ridgeview is just a stone's throw from where we are. As for Oatman, it's a typical tourist place; but, well worth going to. They have a pretty good old west gunfight that is done for donations to (I think) a Masonic Kid's Charity. Bring some raw carrots to feed the feral desert donkeys if they show up. . .sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

Thanks, Suzanne! I look forward to meeting up with you guys. I think we might try the Big Bend recreation area first, if that doesn't work out we'll head into town. Thinking maybe three nights now...plenty of time for us to meet up! Putting your number in my contact list!

Is Big Bend NRA boon docking? We used to always boondock at Katherine's Landing NRA, 15 minutes drive from Laughlin; but, so hidden away, you'd never know city lights were so close. Beautiful view of Lake Mohave and surrounding mountains.

Hey You Two & Steve. . .The River Palms Casino has a killer 2 for 1 ($10.80 total) prime rib buffet on Mondays & Tuesdays (we were thinking Tuesday since Monday is you guys' arrival day). And, of course, there's Joe's Crab Shack lunch buffet Mon-Thurs. Anyone game?
