crunchy
Hey folks! Sorry we've been absent from class, no note from home but the nurse can give you one if you need but you know all the excitement at the onset. Never seems to get old, just more(dare I say) routine, more comfortable with the lifestyle and doing what needs to be done to enjoy it. We spent the winter in Central Texas doodling with a series of doctors, not real serious but terribly inconvenient and not the least bit conducive to travel. Anyway we'll be heading towards SanAntone in May for the Texas Rebel Rally, from there, who really knows. Hope to see some of you there George & Sandee, Lil One & Squirt (Kommando Kitties) "Dumbo" '97 Volvo WIA42T, 23K Single - 3.90:1, DDEC III - 330/380hsp, RTX13710B, 30K Reese '02 KotR-R40TB, 5th Airborne Pin Box; '02 Mazda B4000 Chaser http://community.webshots.com/user/tex78628 I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. Jeff & Suzanne
Well, boys and girls, we head out tomorrow for the East after spending two months out here in beautiful SoCal. This is the longest we've ever spent in one space since we went FT and we are ready to hit the road. We plan to meander our way to Chicago for Jeff's insulin pump fitting getting there sometime in early July. For those of you who have been following our TV sightings, look for Jeff on CSI NY tonight, me very briefly (one cross) on Grey's Anatomy tomorrow, and hopefully much more of me on Friday's episode of Numb3rs . Also, Jeff and I have tickets to Jay Leno tonight, so maybe you'll see us in an audience pan. Hoping to see some of you on the road somewhere! Jeff & Suzanne
Hey Froggi. . .hope you get a "sighting". We've heard that it's more interesting than watching paint dry. . .but, not much!!! Jeff on "Boston Legal" should be coming up on May 14th. froggi
I actually watch those three...LOL! Now as to Boston Legal...never got into it. Think it was on opposite something else I watched. I think I would like it if I did but I am loathe to add more shows to my list of favorites. I'm actually trying to decrease my tv viewing time. adagadak
Hay Froggi, I just crossed over into Pennsylvania today and at the Welcome Center I picked up a copy of.... "The Lily Pad" It's connected to the Renaissance Faire....including also the Celtic Fling & Highland Games, Get Green, and the May Day Fairie Festival. Any relation to your Lily Pad?? Jeff & Suzanne
Sorry about that. Looks like we were wrong on the CSI - we watched the whole thing waiting for Jeff's scene - he wasn't there. Guess May 7th is the new date for his episode. We did get on the Leno show. We were seated on the floor right next to Kevin Eubanks, and when Jay came out, he stepped over to us first and shook our hands. You'd have to had TiVoed it to see us though because it is soooo fast. A couple of other shots of us can also be seen when they leave or come back from a commercial, but only if you pause or slooooow it down. In other words, you have to know it's us to know it's us. We're off this morning for the first time in two months. It will be good to get on the road. vogelly
Hey Froggie, Save those recordings for us non-recording-capable folks. Maybe we can have a showing-of-the-sightings next week in Williams. Jeff & Suzanne
Hey Melvis. . .we are having a bit of trouble with the Frapper map. . .we are on there twice! The picture on top is correct; it shows us in Laughlin, NV. The fourth picture down is us still in Van Nuys, CA. . .NOT!!! There is no "edit this pin" feature on the latter picture; so, we don't know how to remove it. Can you do it, please? Thanks ever so. . . foggymtn
Howdy everyone! It will be interesting to see if the Frappr map works all the way through British Columbia and the Yukon. We cross the border late next week after getting a couple of things done in Bellingham early in the week...dog health certificate, storage of some weighty items, purchasing more bug repellent. We'll keep y'all posted when we find WiFi hot spots. Safe travels everyone!! Barbaraok
We're also on the Frapper Map twice and can't edit one of the pins - the one in Ocala. We'd delete it but that doesn't seem to be an option. froggi
I have NEVER been able to edit my pins...even on my OWN Frappr map. What I do is go to My Frappr page, click My Maps. Down at the bottom I see the maps I am on (mine, SOLOS & Class 2006). I right click on Class 2006, open in new tab (or window) and add myself AGAIN and I use a new photo so I know it's a different add. Once added, I flip to the original Frappr page and move my mouse cursor over the Class 2006. A little message opens (don't click the mouse, just move it over the image) that says LEAVE THIS MAP. I chose that and the OLD entry is deleted. Don't know why it works, but it does and it's the only way I can stay updated. On my own map I have to add myself again and then delete my old one. Sigh... vogelly
I just deleted the old pins for you Hams and O'Keeffes from the map but didn't see any new ones for you guys. I suggest you try adding them again. Peace-out homies..........mike My blah...blah...blah...blog
vogelly
Hey Froggie, I saw on the map that you had broken down. Are you fixed yet? I mean is your RV fixed yet? Hope you make it to the HOP. fedexman
Just touching base ...I finally updated us on the map...we never show up no matter how many times I add us, LOL! . We are workamping in Branson MO at a very quiet place in western Branson called Shenanigans. No ammenites except private bathrooms that compare to one's home ...no pool, so no kids, folks just park and hit the attractions. Paul is bored so he has been hired to work the rides at Celebration City amusement park right behind the campground. He told the gal at the hiring office "workamper" and he got an immediate interview...leaving all the high school kids waiting in his dust....too funny. If anyone is coming in to the area, let us know...we can get tickets in some venues free...but you'd have to have us tag along... I think RV Dreams is having a rally here at ABC campground...looking forward to seeing any of the folks that belong to Dreams also... hugs Dennise and Paul... vogelly
Well folks, obviously the map is fubar. It's very strange why it works for some but not for all. Very strange indeed. I just deleted Steve's LA pin and the second pin for the Dragonthreads. I don't know what else to do. vogelly
Hey Steve, You are on the SOLO’s map in Bath but nowhere on the ‘06. We are down to 22 visual members on the ‘06 map. We had 26 at one time. adagadak
Mike, I don't know what to say...I updated it!! Funny thing is that when I got to "My Maps" on Frapper I don't see either one of these maps!!! I hve use the individual link to each map. Ok, I'll try to update the Solo's again! Sheesh, maybe one of our computer programmers here should start a new mapping service, one that works better than Frapper!!??!!
