Keeping in touch-Class of 2006

Barb and Dave,

We hope to head to the same area next year after the Escapade in Missouri, where we will be the Chapter 15 Row Reps.

We missed or spent little time in these states when we went out west in 2007 so we are anxious to get back. You just can't see it all in one trip! Now I know why folks who have been full-timing for 15 years will say they haven't seen it all yet.

Hopefully, we can hook up again next year to see what mischief we can get into.

Happy Thanksgiving to all,

Nancy

Hello All,

After a week at our home campground for C2C we are leaving Unadilla, Ga for the south west. By the end of the week, we should be in El Paso, Tx for a week, then head toward Quartzsite with a stop over at a place to be determined for some dental work in Mexico.

We have finally arrived at our home park for the winter and are thrilled to be here!! The weather and the smiles are welcoming and warm. Would love to see some of our '06 friends staying in the valley for the winter. We will be taking a trip to South Padre for kite flying and a dinner at Daddy's. yum yum, love those shrimp and oysters!!

WELCOME WINTER TEXANS :) lol

I thought you Sue when we drove back from the beach today and passed Daddy's. John and I have dentist appts Friday in Nuevo Progresso and are up for lunch somewhere. How about you guys too Gordon and Juanita? I have a lead on a Tuesday sewing class in San Benito, kinda close to that bbq place we met for lunch at last winter, although I haven't been there yet its called twisted stiches.

Hey John and Diana,

Just let us know where to meet and when. We're located pretty much in the center of things so can go anywhere in the Valley.

Also, Juanita will want a little more information about that dentist you visit in Nuevo Progresso. We checked out the website and it looks good from there.

Take care,

Happy T-day all!

Friday, say 11:30 at the Red Snapper in Nuevo Progresso. The time is up to your guys, we can wander around shopping until we meet up if you want to meet later. We have dentist appointments at 10 and they should take less than an hour. The red snapper is in the first block on the right hand side. There is a billboard that advertises it on 1015 and it does tell the exact location. Remember to bring a quarter to get over and thirty cents to get back  and your ID.

Milling around in Mexico is always fun. We have decided to make a basket of goodies from Mexico to take home for gift giving. Thinking a box of cookies, vanilla, kaluha, marshmellows, milk candy.....anyone have any favorite things they have purchased in the Mexico markets?

It's been windy here but still warm, thinking of a beach run this afternoon, might be the last day in the 80's for the week. Hope everyone in the class is doing well and staying warm?

Kellie,

I know know if anyone has a current & up-to-date list of our membership who could be a contact point. Maybe BARBARAOK or the HAMS might have one. What is it you need anyway?

Not us. I suggested Kellie ask the question here as I didn't know who would be the 'contact' person. I think people have the idea that we are

'organized', which clearly isn't the case anymore. I do know Kellie was trying to find out if anyone was going to be at Q in January - is anyone from this class going to be there?

We're at Lake Whitney, Texas this week, moving up to a COE park for next week and then to Arlington on the 19th for the Holidays.

We're in Arlington (at Treetops) through the New Year - freezing our you-know-what off! I don't know if this cold front will get clear down to the RVG, but it sure made itself known last night and will be even colder tonight! Shirt sleeves yesterday morning, teeth chattering this morning. :( As always, our very best wishes for all '06ers this holiday season - hope we get to see a lot of you in the coming year.

Temps in the 40's is not our type of weather!! But like Judy says, the 80's are on the near horizon. We'd love to meet you at the Island for some kite flying, Judy. We were just there on Saturday, but it was too windy, or our bellies were too full, so we didn't fly the kites. We are anxious to do so though! We'll let you know when we are headed out there again.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our classmates.

As others have already reported, today is not the best we have seen in the RGV, but warming will begin tomorrow.

We look forward to seeing those of you who are in the area early in the new year.

Season's Greetings. We don't feel bad with the temps in Quartzsite being between the 40s and 60s. Where our old Stix and Bricks was located had 24" of Snow in three days. We are in Q until Spring. Anyone else coming to Q this winter? Take care!

Hi Judy,

We won't be going very far from home until after New Years Day, because we got cement poured on our lot and need to keep it wet for 7 days

before we can move the MH on it.

We'll really be anxious to get out to the Island again by then.

See ya soon,

Merry Christmas to all.

After snow in New Orleans and in Las Vegas, is it any wonder the weather is a bit perculier these days?? I wake up to a beautiful white frost most mornings here in Loma Rica, CA, with highs around 50 and mostly sunny. Love the place but sure miss meeting up with folks and our "social hours".

Happy New Years....

Happy New Year to all the 06ers out there.

South Florida is about the same temps as the RGV. Do miss all you guys though. We are at The Resort, Wachula, FL for a few days. Nice place, but don't plan to stay for the winter. They have over 100 on their waiting list to lease a lot. The folks we talked to signed onto the list in 2000, and are now 20th down. I don't have those long-term planning skills any more. It will be nice to spend a few days here, tho.

A prosperous New Year to all--
