Got the new Lithium batteries(Power Queen) in today, those old GC2's are really heavy.

So now looking at an ebike and the Lectric brand seems to be getting very good reviews. Anyone have one or more?

Going get in on the Black Friday deal.

I was ready to buy when I looked at the Amazon reviews for the Amazon reviews for the 3.0 which are about half bad. Punctured tubes because of bad QA/QC, no support from the company and no manuals. The 2.0 does not seem to have a shifter and is one speed only. Tough on hills would be my guess.

I have one of the Trikes which do fold although I don't see the point. Anyhow, my experience has been super customer support. Mine arrived with a bent fender and a scuffed seat. One call, one friendly customer support agent, new parts in less than a week. In a separate issue I could not get it to turn on. A quick phone call and with the rep on the phone with me telling me what to check it turned out it was a disconnected wire, plug it in and all was well. Interestingly enough I got an email a few days later apologizing for the confusion as leaving that wire disconnected was now a standard to prevent any possibility of getting any current from the battery during shipment. My trike has 5 levels of pedal assist. Level 1 and I need to provide a good bit of assist but the range is further. With level 5 I only need to provide assist on the steeper hills.  User manuals are available on their website. Also, yes, there have been some issues with tires reported but the company is quick to respond. I have not had any issues but because I ride mostly on gravel make sure air pressure is maintained and have Slime in the tubes to stop any small punctures.

Edit: I just searched on Amazon "lectric ebike 3.0" and it did not bring up a single ebike made by Lectric. The brand was not even offered as a filter.

OK I just ordered the 3.0 directly from the company, The service complaints seem to be about bikes bought from Amazon. Plus buying directlt gets you $400 in free gear-suspension seat post, comfort seat, lock, brighter head light and cargo baskets front ant rear.

Too funny! I guess my Amazon is just obstinate. I even took the title from that link of yours "LECTRIC XP 3.0 Long-Range Electric Bike" and searched and it still would not bring it up. I hope you enjoy it. There is a Facebook group that has a lot of knowledgeable people in it.

I cannot find it on Amazon either. When we bought ours you could only buy from the company. No dealers either.

You will have the best service by buying direct from factory and not using the "Amazon". Or you could get lucky and find one with less than 100 miles on it at the HDT Rally and buy it like I did.

Mine is a 1.0 and I have just over 600 miles on it in about a year of riding. Most of it is just around the parks I stay at or in town. Have never really taken it on a "Cross country" trip per se as I wouldn't want to run out of battery before I could get home. They say 30 miles, but I doubt I've done even 20 at one sitting. It's the sitting that limits my rides. I've replaced the replacement seat that came on the bike and it's a bit better. The previous owner also upgraded to the "Sprung" seat post which I assume helps, but have not ridden one without. My last bike was a recumbent trike with no battery. Could have upgraded it at one time for about 1K, but got this folding bike for half of that.

For me the fold is what keeps me with it. I can throw it in the back of my 2 door jeep with the seat folded forward and it rides well back there. That's also where it's placed for moving day.

Mine won't get much use this winter or spring. I'm at a small RV Park on a very busy and narrow country highway and will not be riding at all on it. I tried one of the side roads but a set of 3 Great Pyrenees that traded off shadowing and barking at me riding by both ways didn't make the ride too nice. Would have been worse if the pickup I met along the way had come through the same area at the same time. Glad I didn't find out.

I'm anti Amazon for anything.

I have two 2.0s. What do you mean no shifter? Mine are 7 speed that work flawlessly. Never had an issue with their customer service. But then I purchased directly from the company not Amazon.

I find this thread really interesting since I have toyed with getting myself an electric bike. I hadn't really done any looking but this thread lead me to look at Amazon and wow!  The first one is $199 and the second is $1099.

I think that sometimes you get what you pay for, but Lectric, considering its mid-level price, has been very good in my opinion as regards quality and customer support. They are actually somewhat customizable with different aftermarket seats, pedals, etc. If you are more adventurous you can even change out the control screen. The best I have seen is one gentleman has designed and built a sidecar for his Lectric 2.0 and is in the process of patenting it and finding a manufacturer to mass produce it.
