SuiteSuccess Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 Just saw on major news outlet California, Oregon, Washington State, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts looking to ban the sale of diesel RVs in 2025. Apparently would also involve diesel trucks used for recreational purposes. Anyone in those areas aware of this? lappir Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 Banning the sale does not ban the use as far as I know. I'd like to ban the sale of lots of stuff or maybe just the advertisements of said items for sale. Rod I don’t know the registration laws in those states but would assume if it comes about, registration of an HDT as an RV or MH would be impossible. Maybe it is already? Steve from SoCal Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 From what I understand, 'some' chassis manufactues can't or won't build chassis to the 2025 spec. Too small a market? Other vendors have approved chassis but, they are for smaller RV's California is already getting rid of older diesel everything and making registration much more costly for the few that remain. I personally had no issues getting in and driving around in California in early 2024 with my truck and Kentucky trailer. I did not go through any scales. I am sure if you were to stop at a scale you would get different results! Several CHP cars including commercial enfrcement passed me by. This is my own experience and your mileage may differ1 Quote 2005 Peterbilt 387-112 Baby Cat 9 speed U-shift 1996/2016 remod Teton Royal Atlanta 1996 Kentucky 48 single drop stacker garage project Pulls like a train, sounds like a plane....faster than a Cheetah sniffin cocaine.

This has nothing to do with the federal EPA, this is all California taking steps towards its goal of no ICE vehicles to be sold in the state by 2035 (I think that is the date). I do not think the state will ever be allowed to ban ICE vehicles from other states entirely but they can prevent the sales of new vehicles through a number ways. They can also make it so that no one in the state will want to own an ICE vehicle with punitive licensing and taxing rates. Quote

Once the EPA has been eviscerated along with 90% of the rest of the swamp, there will be little to no federal grant money to fund these totalitarian state agencies.
