gypsydan Posted November 11 Report Posted November 11 I knew when we had a change in club ownership there would be changes. One change I did not think would happen would be doing away with the PDF version of the ESCAPEES magazine. I've been downloading them for reading off-line when Boondocking, - or away from the Internet - for over a decade. I like the format of the PDF version as it is easier to read on my iPad. Has anyone noticed this difference in the magazine? Has anyone requested they bring back the PDF version? Quote 2009 Four Winds Chateau - 25' class C 2002 Chevy Tracker
Kirk W Posted November 12 Report Posted November 12 (edited) Since I still receive the paper version, or at least have up through last month as the new one hasn't arrived yet, I had not looked that closely but it seems that you are correct. Now that I am looking, the July/August issue is FLIPBOOK only as well. If you want to do something about the change, I suggest that you contact Tammy Johnson, editor( editor@escapees.com ) and/or Karenessa Durr, marketing director ( kerensa@escapees.com ) at your earliest convenience. I plan to do the same to ask about the paper version. Edited November 12 by Kirk W Add information. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Kirk W Posted November 12 Report Posted November 12 I just learned the trick from the Escapee Facebook page post. If you open the magazine if the FLIPBOOK version, at the lower, right corner are 3 dots. If you click on those dots it will open a menu on the right side and "download" is one of the choices. Clicking on that will open the download window. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Now seasonal travelers.Kirk & Pam's Great RV Adventure

There are also some other tricks, such as, if there is an option to print it, then choose "Microsoft print to PDF" as your printer. Quote
Lou Schneider Posted November 12 Report Posted November 12 Thanks for those tips! They also work on other Flipbook publications I get including the Quartzsite Messinger. Flip books don't work well on my laptop computer - unless you have a HUGE monitor by the time you display one or two entire pages the print is too tiny to read. Quote
