Wrknrvr Posted November 9 Report Posted November 9 Or horse? I finally retired from rv repair. But I will keep providing technical advice for rv repair. Although I needed something to do. To keep my body and mind occupied. My new to me and my wife’s life style involves old cats and a coprolite? This subject could be classified as a craft or a hobby. So what is a coprolite? I believe that is how it is spelled. Maybe when I fell of a horse I could have hit my head on a coprolite? They are sorta rock hard? Quote
lappir Posted November 9 Report Posted November 9 Finally taking time for yourself. Congrats. Glad you will still be here to offer advise if needed. Haven't looked up the subject, but hope you don't do any falling off of horses, rocking horses or just a plain rocking chair. Those new rocking lawn chairs just do not look safe. Dutch_12078 Posted November 9 Report Posted November 9 Might be better to fall on a coprolite than the fresh stuff! Hopefully just a headache with the coprolite instead of having to clean up the fresh stuff... Wrknrvr Posted November 9 Author Report Posted November 9 (edited) If you look to the far right, you can see the spare tire on my jeep? So now what did that dung do to me? It even has sliding windows, with screens. Just like your RV. But this version is from 1924. No it is not a RV. Nor am I going to make it one. But it is something that has interested me for 50 plus years. Edited November 9 by Wrknrvr Quote
Wrknrvr Posted November 10 Author Report Posted November 10 Just an old time repair shop? With lots of history. Original nob and tube wiring??? Also has numerous old subjects inside it? The last real time of use was about 1948. How can I date that? The floor was filled a foot deep with stuff. As in almost impossible to walk in it. Near the front door entrance was boxes of magazines, mostly dated in 1948. I think that the occupants in 1948 sold magazines from there old county. Apparently they were the last things put in the building? Although there were a few magazines from the mid sixties laying on top. Quote
ms60ocb Posted November 10 Report Posted November 10 Sounds like a good start and soon you will wonder "How did I ever find time to work 8-10 hours aday. During my high school years I tinkered with some old tv's but parted from them and started a small collection of old radios. My favorite was an old catalog, you assemble, 5 dial table model. I would run off of batteries and everything was so clear. I sold my hobbies that didn't bit in a suit case, 10 years ago. Yes that Coprolite can take it toll. I guess I was lucky in that sense, i always landed some distance to walk back as I think my pony or horse may have thought there some Oats available at the barn. Wrknrvr Posted November 10 Author Report Posted November 10 If you look at the picture closely, the Elk head is wood. The new wood that has the horns, actually grew around a piece of old wood. My wife seen this in the brush we were cleaning up. Quote
