lappir
Have wanted a Kayak for a while. Saw one along the road to the "Lake" I'm currently parked at and am being very tempted. My issue is once I leave this lake when will I use it again. Where can I put it so it's not damaged when I move to the next location. Will it fit on top of my Jeep without too much trouble. I've rented them several times before, but got super spoiled when I used one in Alaska that had a rudder and was very very fast. It was even a tandem, but my partner was a 12 year old that weighed less than 100 lbs. I'm sure. I had gotten a couple slow lumbering hard to paddle singles after that and think I need to do a test float before purchase. I looked up the brand and they were expensive when new. I couldn't find the exact model so I don't know how much it cost or how old it is. I can say it's been sitting outside in the sun for a few weeks of my driving by. I also just thought about permits or licensing. How does that work? I've never personally owned a "Boat". I remember seeing the tags on the ones family and friend have allowed me to occasionally borrow. More research needed.
