Tackleberry
Big truck means bigger problems, but I wouldn't have it any other way. While packing up from our fantastic Key West trip, my Rampage motorcycle lift broke (the cable), and I couldn't get the Harley off the truck when I got home. We tried several sketchy methods of getting the bike down, but finally gave up. Good thing my buddy at Tebben's Steel has a 3 ton trolley crane! We hoisted Dutch (the bike) off Large Marge and secured him on the bike trailer. Now I have to get some new handlebars. Scottiedot
This is the second time I’ve heard about the winch cable failing on a Rampage, the first couple I spoke to about it were unloading a Road King and it caused considerable damage. My Rampage is about 5 years old, I’ll be replacing my winch cable with a spare I have before the next trip!
Darryl&Rita
Can't change the cable with the bike loaded? ddm502001
SO Glad found this thread, was considering a Truck Mounted platform and had reservation on the methods to move my RGU from/to the truck. Will be sticking with a Toy hauler once find a decent used one. Dave Edited January 26, 2023 by ddm502001
