Piston Leak

I would try to get a part number for that seal, which is unlikely.  Or, take the cylinder off and take it to a hydraulics shop.  Odds are good it's a common seal.

Can you see any scratch marks on the shaft. If you do, then the repair shop is likely needed. Is the shaft bent? The repair shop is needed at that point also. Or new jack.

Before you do the repair shop idea. And you see no physical problems on the shaft.

Search the net about Lippert suggesting to put Caterpillar hydraulic additive into the system. Back several years ago Lippert had a problem with the jacks leaking while the rv was sitting still. It was a internal seal problem. You can find the Caterpillar oil additive at a Caterpillar dealership. Probably on line also.

As for fixing the external leak with the additive needs some questions asked.

The additive would be a simple fix.
