GlennWest
I read where they recommend this. But when carpet is under it is it really any safer? Kirk W
I don't have any experience installing inverters, but as a tech I always preferred to mount electrionic equipment so that it had at least some air space below it. Good ventilation is good for most electronic equipment. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... RV_
If your inverter has a flange for mounting you can use spacers or aluminum Z-brackets if there is room to raise it an inch or so. Darryl&Rita
Air space is the bare minimum, if you have a piece of cement board, that's even better. Even bare plywood is better than any kind of carpet under/beside any electronics. GlennWest
Used z brackets. May put sheet of aluminum under them on carpet.
