No tie shoe laces?

Recommended Posts

Not just for kids.....These are new to me or I never paid attention in the past.  A loved one wears tennis shoes but can no longer tie them, didn't want Velcro or hooks etc.  A friend gave me a pair of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VF2FG88/ref=dp_iou_view_item?ie=UTF8&psc=1

to try.  They worked so well I got some for me. I thought they might not be secure enough but they seem to be working very well and are easy to slip on and off. They come in all sorts of colors to go with most any lace up shoe or to be a trend setter around the campfire with neon or holiday colors....

We used a different brand bought through Amazon, LOVE THEM, makes the shoes a real slip on and they hold tight, and I have been able to wear out the shoes and move those laces to the new pair. Well worth looking into for those that have a hard time tying laces.

The first of those I saw was at the huge flea market in Parke county Indiana almost 20 years ago. DW bought a pair for each grandchild for wear in their first pair of walking shoes.

now we are going to have kids growing up that can not tie a shoe lace. gone are the lp's, singles. 8 tracks tapes, cassettes tapes, beta tapes, vcr's, heck even cd's/dvd's are going the wayside.

carbs, working on your own car. and how much more is gone?

but then i use slip on cheep shoes from wally wourld. but work boots are proper lace up's. as it is getting a bit hard to bend over to tie them.

Well, look at the up side, no longer can it be said "he can't chew gum and tie his shoelaces at the same time".

With the disappearance of analog clocks kids no longer understand "quarter to 2". But, I am in favor of those shoe laces. I would buy some if I owned any shoes that tie. :)

Kids can't tell time on an analog clock,

Kids cannot read or write in cursive,

Kids cannot do simple math in their heads,

Kids are not taught creative thinking,

and now they will never learn to tie a bow on their shoes.

I feel so sorry for this and future generations.

We taught our grandson cursive writing because the schools were not teaching it at that time.

In addition to sandals, there are lots of shoe that do not have shoelaces.  I especially like Merrell jungle mocs.  Skechers is now heavily advertising their slip on shoes with a special heal designed to slip on and still provide a secure fit.
