GlennWest Posted July 1, 2022 Report Share Posted July 1, 2022 I have decided on Victron inverter for our Teton. Looking at 48/8000/110-100 230v. PKYS INC seems to have good selection and price. Have not heard of them on here though. Going to pair it with a 100 amp auto-transformer. The transformer will allow me a 28 amp imbalance in my electrical system which allows me to use the entire 8000 VA if needed. Pkys sells this for $3104.20 and 100 amp auto-transformer for $727.60. Have to admit the little Victron Phoenix 1200 really impressed me. I ran my grinder, shop fan and it was quite. Fan could only be heard close to it. That so unlike the high frequency units. They are loud when you load them up. Checked out Emarine and they only stock up to 5000VA. This would give me an additional 2k regardless. And I assume, will research, that in parallel can regulate 2 inverter usage. This could save some idle draw also.
