RV_
Since we have a lot of Texans here and investors Musk's filings in Texas may bear watching as Musk is realizing his vulnerability to power outages and heat after already moving to Texas and is trying to help the “private” Texas grid that ERCOT was supposed to fix long ago. They would have to reverse their stance on renewable energy and promote it and I think that could go either way. It will provide a lot of investment opportunities for Texans , utility work, and jobs if Texas decides to go ahead. I would defer to the utility folks here to see what they think. Excerpt: “Tesla has over 60 pages of Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT) filings that have recently been shared publicly, and we’re about to dive into them. Grab some water and a coffee and let’s go. Tesla and its team, including its US Energy Markets Policy Lead, Arushi Sharma Frank, have been working hard to help Texan Powerwall customers be able to take part in virtual power plant (VPP) pilot programs. In May, Tesla held a VPP workshop for the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) and Frank was one of the key leaders hosting the meeting. Recently, Frank was asked to testify at an open meeting of the PUCT, and there she shared Tesla’s comments and statements addressing questions and other concerns relating to VPPs.” Source: https://cleantechnica.com/2022/06/19/diving-into-teslas-60-pages-of-puct-filings-mostly-data/ Quote RV/Derekhttp://www.rvroadie.com Email on the bottom of my website page.Retired AF 1971-1998 When you see a worthy man, endeavor to emulate him. TXiceman
ERCOT and the Texas PUC is a "good old boys" club controlled by the energy companies. So do not expect much change here until these clowns fail and are kicked out. The good ol boys own the energy companies. Instead of public utilities controlled by the state it is the other way around. https://www.forbes.com/sites/christopherhelman/2022/06/08/fire-knocks-out-billionaire-owned-natural-gas-export-plant-in-texas-nations-second-biggest/?sh=20eeab036bf6 https://ftw.usatoday.com/2021/02/jerry-jones-getting-richer-while-people-in-texas-freeze Quote RV/Derekhttp://www.rvroadie.com Email on the bottom of my website page.Retired AF 1971-1998 When you see a worthy man, endeavor to emulate him.
