Bert2
Looking for the fuse or breaker for the electric steps. They went out/in when I stepped out for a minute but wouldn't come out when I went to get back in. I want to check the fuse or breaker but am having trouble locating it. Kirk W
Is it fair to assume that the step switch near the door has not changed positions? The steps are usually powered from the chassis battery so look where the other chassis related fuses are located. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years...... Bert2
Correct. Door position switch has not moved. I checked the fuse box under the hood but did not see any burnt out fuses.
Kirk W
Have you checked with a volt meter for power to the step motor and control? Ray,IN
Assuming you have Kwikee steps, they are constantly powered, the controller switches the ground circuit to power the motor. It might be as simple as a loose wire on the reed switch. This will help you identify your step model and guide you in making repairs. Bert2
I found the tripped breaker. It is in the front storage compartment / luggage door on the driver's side. Step is working properly now.
