GlennWest
I have a Weatherpro awning. Model# 33078119. Can't find that anywhere. Lippert does not go that far back. My Teton is 2003. I looks like a 9100 but I don't think they were called that in 2003. I could be wrong. I find lots of 9100 motors of different part numbers. From 350ish to 600 dollars. Anyone here have any info to help me. GlennWest
update. Well did find a video on this. The 9100 sorta fits. Have to use my mounting to arm housing. motor the same. Only thing that really concerns me if it is motor or spring. Motor runs. Awning don't move nor has it got any spring tension. Instructions says to pin spring at back end so it won't unwind. Mine unwound with motor attached. Now no connect to tube or spring. So could my spring be broken and cause this problem? Too windy here to remove and inspect. The pin is not sheared. Was able to check that. Those of you that have worked on these, will my condition happen with just broke tension spring? While I'm not familiar with that awning, I do know that those springs to sometimes break and if they do you loose all tension on the awning fabric. GlennWest
Ok new spring. Old spring had little tension on it. About 2 turns a foot out. Old spring is not broken. I had to remove end cap, not easy. Use my end cap from old spring to match my awning arms. Now has 11 turns of tension. That what manual called for. I tried to extend awing and motor runs but no movement of awning. My thinking now gear on end of motor off, stripped, etc. Awful hot out there now. Was cooler this morning. Lol. May pull that motor after cooling off. GlennWest
Pulled motor, gear on end of motor wallered out. Spins on shaft. But at the price of a motor that runs fine, I think I am going to shim it and put on a set screw. Sounds right to me . That's the way I had to install new springs in our awning . BUT , ours is not motor driven , so ??? for sure . Maybe find instructions for your particular awning . GlennWest
Tension right. Draws awning up so it is right. My set screws didn't hold but for a few runs. They in aluminum so not that strong. Was worth a try though. So reckon I order a motor. Have to use my cap with it so that will be fun, not. GlennWest
Got new motor on. It works sorta. Goes up a ways and stops. Reengage switch goes again and stops. Like too much for motor. Goes out fine. Have 11 turns on new spring with awning out about 2 feet. What you think?
