aztex
Hi, I'm having trouble with my mail service. I subscribe to a magazine and have triple checked the address is correct. They have resent the magazines twice and the online dashbord for the magazine says delivered...yet...I am receiving no magazines..... I asked if magazines are being thrown out but they said no and I have received several otherss in the past... Also...A VERY important piece of mail went missing after again showing delivered but not included with my forwarded mail. They wouldn't look in my file to confirm that maybe it was left behind but refused to do so... That piece has been duplicated and expedited by shipper and arrived at SKPs as I got notice but hasn't scanned yet which seems odd to me. It says "package" on the tracking but it should be an envelope so not sure how actually sent. SO I'm waiting for something so they can actually send it to me... Also the last couple times I called I got an ear full of attitude... I didn't understand and it was NOT explained to me I have to accept scanned mail. Operator had zero patience in trying to explain this to me and how I can get my mail delivered. So far this service has been severely lacking.... Is there someone I can speak to that has a less attitude and can explain why there's a problem? Thanks

Thanks Kirk, No I'm referring to a different magazine, Guitar Player. I have received zero issues and their dashboard shows delivered 2 or 3 times for certain issues! So 7 between the span of the subscription have not arrived or been lost or destroyed... I did receive an Escapees magazine a few weeks back in a forwarding so I imagine not any setting on my part.. TXiceman
Never had an issue with the Escapees mail service. Any time i have spoken to or emailed them, they have been very helpful and never had any attitude. The response you get from people on the other end of the phone is often a reflection of your own attitude, so approach them asking for their expert help, not start bad-mouthing them right off the bat. No saying your attitude may have been bad, but it could be that one or both parties were having a bad day. The mail room employees then sort thousands of pieces of mail into the appropriate mail boxes. If the USPS could do 1/10th as well as Escapees, it would be a tremendous improvement. Any mail out of Livingston that has to go into Houston at the North Central Distribution center is subject to problems. We have found getting our mail forwarded from Livingston is much better handled by using Fed-EX. The cost is not much more than USPS Priority One and I can get my mail within 2 or 3 days anywhere in the USA. Right now we are in a small city west of Houston and out mail is sent on Tuesday and usually I have the mail on Fed-EX on Wednesday. If everything people are telling you is useless to you, tell us what we could say that would be helpful?? Hi, What would be helpful? A phone number I can call that is a person who deals with such problems..... I'll explain again and perhaps I can make more sense... Important mail sent to Escapees. Tracking says "delivered" I wait several days and call to have mail forwarded. Agent is less than enthusiastic about helping when I explain I have important mail and would like to confirm it'll be included. They say yes it will but wont check. Forwarded mail arrives and important mail not included....Contact sender they cancel and they expedite it next day which arrives as "package" but UPS next day letter. Can't be scanned but I get delivered notification. Call Escapees they can't confirm it'll be included but probably will, again wont check for me. Get mail forwarded. This morning's tracking says it's headed out of the country.... Magazines missing. Publisher resends twice. Address is 100% correct. All say delivered. None forwarded. Call Escappees and told magazines can be hit or miss and if the address doesn't match (it does per publishers info) it gets quickly tossed as they can't track every magazine that comes in. So we have at least one piece of mail I can prove was delivered to my correct address at Escapees that was not included in my forwarding..... Magazines can be an issue as per what last person explained to me.... At this point I'm just about out of luck, I needed it today. A person who would have actually checked my mail since I explained the urgent need would have solved all this perhaps. Sorry guys....Escapees mail serviced really stepped in it this time. IF you guys are telling me they have actually checked you mail before shipping and they refused to do so for me... Of course you are free to blame me or USPS...BTW I ship ~500 packages a year via USPS, have been for 8 years. So 4000+/-. ZERO lost! Not one! A couple took a few more days but that's pretty danged reliable!
GlennWest
I was just there yesterday. Not staying that far away and just drive up. Very enjoyable visit. I am sorry for your troubles but that is just not the norm for escapees. Now they are at the mercy of usps. All they can do is send to address you supply them. When it leaves there it is all usps unless you select Fed-ex Quote 2003 Teton Grand Freedom towed with 2006 Freightliner Century 120 across the beautiful USA welding pipe.https://photos.app.goo.gl/O32ZjgzSzgK7LAyt1

Ya know when there's an issue with my truck on one of the forums I participate in I go and check to make sure it doesn't effect me! I don't start defending Toyota or if mine doesn't have the issue discount their complaints or suggest it was something they did wrong..... The fact I had mail confirmed delivered to Escappes and not included in my forward mail should be cause for concern. I've been using Escappes for ~ a year and this the first times I had issues aside from the magazines.
Barbaraok
Just because someone said it was delivered doesn't mean it was received by Escapees. I have had a delivered notice only to find out that someone mixed up the address, or they just said it was delivered and it was left on a truck for the next day (or next week) before it was discovered and delivered. As to not wanting to go look, we have been using the Escapees address for 15 YEARS! Never once, in those 15 yrs, have they not gone and looked for me. Sometimes I have called every other day until I knew something was in and then sent the email to get it sent to me. I even had a delivery which was 2 packages and I didn't realize until we had already left the area - - the people at Escapees called the PO that I had just left and arranged to get it forwarded to the next one where we could get it. As you will have no doubt noticed, it is extremely rare for there to be a problem getting it into the hands of the USPS. TXiceman
Kirk, we have had more than one Priority One mailing from USPS that shows delivered and it is nowhere to be found. A couple of days later, the tracking info show it was again out for delivery and again showed delivered. Mysteriously, the mail just appeared out of thin blue air and was delivered. I do not trust the USPS on anything. If it important, I'll pay the extra and get it handled by Fed-EX. USPS sent it the wrong direction in the first place and it has spent the past four days circling in and out of a distribution center in MA. I have been for ~8 years now and have lost exactly ZERO! I can't recall any even getting too late. Fed Ex on the other hand consistently fouls up orders like EVERY TIME with me! Always a day late at least! I think every delivery via Fed EX recently has been on the truck delivery by 9pm sort of message and then driver goes home before all deliveries. So Fed Ex is not an option for me.....
TXiceman
AZtex, you are a real rarity with such excellent service from USPS. Once Escapees turns the post over to USPS or Fed-EX, you are at the mercy of USPS or Fed-EX. I have had USPS Priority One mail leave Livingston headed to a city just northwest of Houston, TX. The shipment went to Houston to California, back to Houston, to Arizonia, back to Houston, to Livingston, back to Houston and finally Tomball, TX. Once in Tomball it sat there for 3 days before it showed it was delivered. It was not delivered for another 3 days....a total of 15 days to get it 75 miles. This was pretty much the norm for any USPS shipment that was a Priority One. Use USPS at your own risk. bigjim
I have been with skp mail svc since March of 1997 and I have received someone else magazines about 3-4 times in all that time. I think I may have received some other persons mail maybe 2 or 3 times. At least 2 of those was someone with the same first and last name as mine and the sender did not use my PMB or the #0000 so the mail service looked it up by name and happened to pick the wrong James H. Can't really hold that against them. I have had a few other incidents where I was concerned about the mail being lost and did call the office. At some point it just makes you skeptical if they are telling you correct or are really interested just because you don't know who to hold responsible. I used to work for the USPS for several years a long time ago so I understand that side and the issues. I am leaning toward most problems are ultimately with the USPS. IE: before New years I got mail once a week from Livingsto to just N. of Memphis, Tn. Then it slowed to almost 2 full week. The last one went back to 6 days. One concern I always have is will the person that received my mail in will be contientious about returning it to escapees or the Post Office. Of course in most cases you will never know. I have been mostly problem free with the USPS during my lifetime but not completely. When I worked for them I did learn that most of the problems were actually caused by the sender by not packaging or addressing properly. One of my rememberances was a large package of frozen shrimp that was mailed and went through the parcel post annex in Dallas. ms60ocb
AZTEX I have read this post with interest over the last couple days and I wonder which Escapee's Mail Service your using. Mail Scanning is an optional add-on is available only to Mail Forwarding Service subscribers in Categories B and C. Category A is receiving everything and no Scanning or sorting. I use have used Plan A in the past but over the past few years choose receive First Class mail and a few magazines. The Escapee Personnel have been great. I have ton's of problems with a Medical Supply and I would like to think Escapee Mail Service has helped me train the medical supply office about my addresses.
