GlennWest
Our Teton has the original coach bed sofa still in it. It's bed is horrible. No one sleeps on it anymore. Getts stuff piled on it. So I am considering removing. That thing is heavy also. Don't see it leaving in one piece either. Any of you tacked this? I am going to built a storage on floor with a top on it for seat cushions. I have no routers, table saw and such so won't be fancy. Functional and look good. GlennWest
Is that tongue and grove? I love it. We won't use the bed function. Use it for storage. GlennWest
I want it mainly for storage. Probably build out of 2X4 for frame and put doors on front. Use wide boards on top. Should look good. rpsinc
What about welding a frame out of thin wall tube or angle and TEK screwing your choice of paneling or bead board to it? Could hinge the top for that storage. Quote Marcel
GlennWest
I suggested top hinge to DW. She don't want it. Bottom entry. It mainly for her stuff, so. rpsinc
What about if you were to make drawers for her? Could incorporate into your tube frame. Skin it with plywood and maybe bedboard as drawer fronts. Find some foam for a top cushion and an angled backrest with a cushion. I Googled that term and found several. As to access, I vote for drawers if you have enough space in front to access them. Easier than crawling in to reach back of space. Danfreda1
New horizon did it. Ship lap yes top is split for lifting one side or the other lot of storage, had cushions made to fit. A wedge cushion works good for laying and watching tv, reading or napping in the sun.
