When I had my diesel van I bought most of my fuel from Valero because they had good prices and, being a van, I could get in and out OK. whj469
Walmart in New Caney, TX, has had the lowest fuel prices around since they opened almost three years ago. Currently $2.84 for unleaded and $2.99 for diesel. The station is very busy all of the time. There are four fuel stations nearby and they all sell gas and diesel for one cent more per gallon then Walmart. Many times I buy fuel at the other four stations because the Walmat is so busy. I have also seen fuel station rage at that Walmart regarding who fuels next or if you must go in to pay before fueling some people don't how long it takes. It is not a good place for RVs because it is not laid out well.
RV_
Glad our electric price to charge hasn't changed much, if at all, since we moved here. As soon as my Rivian R1T truck comes in the Subaru gasser is gone. The truck does 0-60 in three seconds. They currently have the only EV truck in production and being delivered, albeit slowly as they ramp up to full production. Déjà vu with the naysayers repeating word for word the short narratives they did for Tesla. It highlights a cross country off-road trip with Rivian. Good reading.
RV_
Thanks Don. Did they do a second trip? This one is September's cross country trip by Motortrend. https://www.motortrend.com/features/2022-rivian-r1t-exclusive-drive-review-trans-america-trail-off-road/ Are they both the same article? It's one article in the magazine. I guess they split it up online. Toward the bottom of your online article is a link to Part II. Here is Part II The reason I recommended buying the magazine is so you'd have it lying around the next time one of your guests questions the Rivian's capabilities. 🙂 Edited December 1, 2021 by durangodon
RV_
Good idea! However, I have two Surface Pro 7 and Pro 7+ and we each have a 10" Surface Go 2 we can pull it up on for guests. But since I'm buying one, and am invested in the company, I think I will get an analog reader copy of it. Thanks for the great suggestion. Now to see if the BX still carries magazines. I haven't had a magazine in the house since 2019 when I trashed all of them. Dutch_12078
In our part of Upstate NY, gas prices have dropped down 5 to 15 cents over the past week with the high volume stations dropping faster as usual. $3.45-$3.49 is getting more common now, down from the previous $3.55-$3.59 . It would be nice to see prices keep dropping before we head south after the holidays with family.
