noteven Posted October 24, 2021 Report Share Posted October 24, 2021 3 years ago I placed an ad on craigslist using my iPhone mobile data while in Flagstaff, AZ. google then locked me out of my gmail account citing "suspicious activity" There was No Way I could log back in with the iPhone. So I called their customer service and got right through and all was resolved in 5 minutes I could access my email account again. Har har har Juuust kidding I made that up. I wasn't laughing at the time. Fortunately back at camp I was able to use a PC laptop on a wifi connection through a couple screens I've never seen before and trick google and access my account again. Then I could log in ok on the iPhone. Anyways - I have been a bit reluctant to place an ad on CL ever again... Has anyone experienced this? Is there a sure fire prevention? We both have CL accounts, and have never ran into anything like that. Of course, I've just cursed my fortunes.
