Super Deck for sale-fits HDT

Recommended Posts

https://amerideckproducts.com/    Came with my truck.  It is unlikely I will use it BUT it fits crossways on the bed and works just like it is supposed to.  Works with 2 HD dressers.

Asking $4200.00 Its in So Cal about 30 minutes from Jojoba Hills SKP Park.  Can assist with install at a negotiated rate, as I have a fab shop and forklift.

You will probably get a much larger audience on the FB HDT groups. They are quickly growing (one is over 24k members) and this should easily be of interest to someone. You are welcome to post it in the HDT - Heavy Duty Trucks for RV'ing group - (https://www.facebook.com/groups/HDTRVs

HDT's - (https://www.facebook.com/groups/418646581821896) - Not sure if they'll allow it in that group

HDT's for sale - https://www.facebook.com/groups/368741390204588 (It should be allowed in here)

Thanks.  I am part of both of those.  Good suggestion.

I have one of those that I can use in a pickup.

It has the capacity to load a smart car as well.

They are designed to be used in a pickup bed but this one has been modified(look at the hinged approach) to fit the width of the HDT bed.  I imagine that it would work for a Smart, and we have talked about it, but the platform is too tall for out liking to use for a Smart.  Would prefer a winch and some ramps, I think.

Certainly interested in what those with experience might offer as to the pros & cons of the platform vs the winch/ramps.

The platform machine allows for storage of whatever underneath, doesn’t tempt you to drive up ramps and torture the cars driveline because the winch is “slow”, can load and haul other stuff, you alredy own it vs another project…

Main disadvantage would be if the machine breaks down and you need the vehicle off it you are calling a rollback truck

  • 2 weeks later...

Have you sold this? I'm in search of a smart car bed conversion, fabricators in my area in NorCal have initially said they can do it, but now that the truck is here, I've had 3 fabricators balk and back out.  I'm near the 5 so running down south could be easily done.

There is NO storage underneath that unit as it has the pump and cylinder and the framework to make it all work.  It stands abot 10" above the deck.  Yes, it does offer a different way to load and carry, almost anything.

I used to store 9” and less high odds and ends under mine each side beside the center frame under the platform.

I was thinking of welding up a lighter motorcycle platform out of maybe even aluminum than the HD one that comes with it. It’s heavy for 1/2 ton truck work.

But you never know when you might need to haul an Acme “1 ton” anvil

There is a bit of that on either side of the frame under the platform.  Some 2X material is there now.  Can be used to soften the approach depending on how you want to move that "anvil"
