RV_
Excerpt: "It's already time to start thinking about flu season. With COVID-19 cases once again on the rise, doctors are concerned hospitals could be overwhelmed by both flu and coronavirus cases. That's why they hope you'll get your flu shot this fall. Dr. Scott Joy, the chief medical officer for the HealthONE Physician Services Group, told CBSN Denver the best time to get your flu shot is around mid-to-late October. Many people may be due to get their COVID-19 booster shot in October. Dr. Joy says you can get the booster and flu vaccine at the same time. "There is no scientific evidence to say it is not a good idea to get both of them together. From a convenience standpoint, it really makes a lot of sense to get them together so you're covered for the rest of the season." docj
We're getting our flu shots this week. We still have to wait until the ~20th to get a COVID booster and I like the idea of giving this aging body a bit of a break. Chalkie
I heard that only Pfizer would be getting boosters but that has not actually been approved yet despite certain pronouncements. Have ya'll heard something different than what is being reported?

Ropeshaft
We always get our flu shots in October. But this October we will also be due for our 2nd shingles shot and our Covid booster if the booster is recommended 8 months after the 2nd shot. Might have to do some checking before we get this triple dose so close together.

His booster shot? Just making sure I understand your response. And where is he located if I might ask.

Pfizer is on track to be approved for a booster shot by the 20th, but Moderna hasn't gotten all their info in, so will probably lag behind. We got the Moderna vaccines, so will have to wait until the booster shot is approved...hopefully, soon.
