TPMS question

Our old 5th wheel had a TPMS and it saved us a couple of times over the years. Have a Freightliner TPMS system on our new Renagade Classic and our Ford Escape toad has one also.  The Ford Pass App has the ability to monitor the tire pressure and will send an alert to our phones if its out of range pressure wise.  I am thinking that this will be enough for when we are pulling the car and don't need to have an additional TPMS installed on the car. Am I thinking in the right direction or should I go ahead and install an aftermarket TPMS on the road?

Thanks for your input.

Presently there is no aftermarket TPMS that will interface with auto mfgrs. systems of which I am aware.
