strawdog
Note: Units are now in Aztec, NM (25 miles south of Durango, CO). If you prefer to see the features & options in bullet format instead of the narrative, click on the links. New Horizons Features: Feature pages Volvo Features: Feature pages New Horizons Photos (.mp4 format): http://www.leather-n-lace.info/ads/trailer.mp4 Volvo Photos (.mp4 format): http://www.leather-n-lace.info/ads/truck.mp4 The Volvo & New Horizons would be an ideal package for someone either wanting to upgrade their current rig or who is just now embarking in their full-time adventure. The Volvo is a pre-emissions 1998 VNL64T610 with Trailer-Saver hitch, Blu-Dot air-over-hydraulic braking system and an air line running from the truck the entire length of the coach for your tow vehicle braking system (we installed the M&G Braking System on our Jeep; you would need to check compatibility for your vehicle on their website). A rear-view camera is mounted on the back of the 5th wheel, with a 7” monitor in the truck. The 40-foot 2010 New Horizons F40RLTSS-102 is custom-built & is a true full-timing, 4-season unit, with room for whatever you might want to take along. Toys? Class III hitch on the 5W if you choose to double-tow a vehicle or boat, and a Rampage motorcycle lift mounted on the Volvo. You would be set up for your full-time lifestyle with 4 roof-mounted solar panels & 6 batteries, double-pane tinted windows, roof-mounted Dish Network satellite antenna, beautiful solid rustic cherry cabinetry (no plywood or particle board), day/blackout shades, stacking washer & dryer, 43" Vizio TV in living room with Sony surround sound system, immense storage capacity both inside & cargo (4375 lbs carrying capacity) & two patio awnings -- one manual, which allows you to have not only the standard full-length screen, but also screens on either or both ends. The dining table with leaf, 2 end tables & coffee tables are all finished to match the cabinetry. Recliners are not included (recliners are very person-specific, & reflect your own preference / style). The vessel sink in the bathroom is great for taller individuals, as is the skylight in the shower. We had the unit built with Permastone tile on the main floor & bathroom; easier cleaning than carpet, especially with pets! Bigfoot automatic leveling system to make setting up so much easier & faster, Mor-Ryde independent suspension, 17.5" tires and disk brakes. The Volvo has a custom-built bed with tall drom box & 6 large side storage compartments, plus two shallow storage compartments for tools on top of the bed. A Trailer-Saver TSLB2H 5W hitch rated for 30,000 lbs, and a motorcycle lift that accommodates both a street-style or full-size dresser are already installed. We worked with Larry Herrin to design & build the custom bed with a lowered area to accommodate the motorcycle lift. It has an N14 Plus Cummins engine (HP 460; Torque 1650) with 751,655 miles, and a Rockwell RMX10-155A transmission. The truck currently has a Hoppe converter, but a brand-new Jackalopee converter – along with the required wiring – is included. Interior has custom-built oak cabinets, Bostrom Wide-Ride air-ride seats & full carpet, along with a 2000-watt inverter, Cobra CB radio, & Alpine stereo/CD player. The sleeper has a twin pillowtop mattress, cozy sleeping for two if you enjoy spooning! With the microwave, refrigerator & porta-pottie, the truck can be -- and has been – used as a "guest bedroom." Asking $72,300 for 5th wheel & $19,500 for truck. Renee I can get the pictures to work, but neither of the document links are working for me no matter what browser I try. Nice looking set up, by the way.
