CampingVet
I am in the process of purchasing a used travel trailer which I am going to make my full time residence. Does anyone have any experience doing this in New Jersey. I'm trying to figure out if I can claim the trailer as my full time residence and if there are any benefits to that. If anyone has experience in this, I'd love some input!

Kirk W
Do you plan to travel full-time while using an address in NJ or are you thinking of parking it permanently in the same spot and live in it there? You will need some sort of address to use in registering the RV as well as any other vehicles that you own and wish to insure. Most of those who live in an RV and travel full-time use a mail forwarding service as their legal address, but I am pretty sure that NJ is not one of the states who will accept such mail service addresses, but you can always check with your dept. of motor vehicles to see. Another thing that will be important if you do not plan to travel south for the winters is to get an RV that is well insulated and designed for cold weather use. If you share more information about what you wish to do, we could probably supply better information. Quote Good travelin !...............KirkFull-time 11+ years......
