Marcia Stewart
I've been member for years and miss the Boondocker's Journal. Members sent in places to boondock and it was condensed into a file. Anyone know if we have that any longer? Also called the Days End Directory. It was almost 200 pages of great places! agesilaus
I think people are getting reluctant to share places with the mob of newbies. Who wants to boondock with 25 others especially with some of the ones who are trashing camps. I'm just not seeing people making recommendations any more, not publicly anyway. I got some private thank yous when I posted some spots. And when folks ask for a spot, silience is the main answer Edited March 2, 2021 by agesilaus
Pat & Pete
People are 'reluctant' to say which regular campgrounds are favorites . What makes anyone think folks are willing to say where the pot of gold is ? Quote Goes around , comes around .
2gypsies
I believe Days End is still available if you're an Escapee. Look on the Escapee web site for joining. Everything is online now so I don't know if they publish a paper format. SWharton
It is available as long as you are and Escapee, 4 updates a year. Newbies aren't going to boondock, they are heading for the resorts which we shun. Newbies may try boondocking once but no phone, no tv, no electricity, no computer will change their minds fast. You need to be set up for boondocking and have a mental attitude to do this.
agesilaus
Days End is available, there is an added charge $10 or $15 IIRC. I found it poorly organized and it has very limited coverage mostly of parking lots and boat ramps.
