PBArmy
I am a fulltimer and I always claim the interest paid on my RV loan on my taxes. I refinanced the installment loan on my RV last year. Should I consider that the same as a mortgage refi on my taxes this year? Kirk W
Probably, but I would check the current rules before doing so. I'm not sure that an RV forum is the best source of tax advice. I have not read up on mortgage deductions recently since I no longer have one. Twotoes
I have been told by my accountant that an RV can be considered a second home and the interest is deductible. Not sure if the refi costs would be deductible however. Anyway with the standard deduction being doubled most folks are not filing a schedule A and not claiming deductions and are just claiming the standard deduction. I strongly recommend you seek the advise of a CPA.
