comparing inverter output

Been researching VA vs watts and came to realization most  inverters don't put out what they are. Victron rated in VA and not watts. So a factor of X.8 for wattage. Magnum also. So even two 4400 watt magnum only give me 7000 watts. Now Schneider Conext has a true 6800 watt hybird inverter/charger in a single unit. Has a 8500 watt output for 30 minutes. 12000 for 60 seconds. This would save a lot of wiring and less cost. They are quality units. Puts out 52 amps at 240 split phase. If I came into a situation needing more wattage I can add a single inverter for a mini split. That would remove that load from the Schneider  Conext. My largest loads is the convection microwave, air fryer and skittlet. We rarely use the gas top. Not for sure how it handles a 30 amp input but I have a seperate line of 30 amp for a charger for batteries. It does state 3-60amp input selectable. Has a 140 amp charger

Oh it is. If I go with a stand alone unit it will be the Cotek 1000w or 1500 watt. But don't think I will need to. DW cooking the other day, using convection microwave at 400 degrees and frying in electric skillet together, both mini splits, tv, lights, we got just over 6k watts for a minute. Then tapered off at 5500. I have never witnessed over 12 amps from both acs. I have found 99% positive reviews on the Scheinder Conext inverters.

You might as well fix the spelling of the company's name while you're at it.  Hint ... it's spelled the same as mine.

Pleased?

John, been great conversing with you. Learned so much. Been monitoring usage and it came up a lot less than I thought it would be. Most I have seen is 6k with convection going, both mini splits, electric fryer going, and all the normal fridge and stuff. Only other high draw is dryer and DW don't run it and cook at same time. Also getting educated on VA vs Watts and that surprised me. Those 2 Magnums don't put out what zi thought they would. This single Schneider puts out more. So why go thru expense of dual inverters? Also the virus lock down has me out of work. So everything on hold.

We have been getting by with a 2,000 watt inverter and we can usually run a mini split and air fryer or the microwave with it unless the mini split is heating. If it is pretty cool inside and we turn on the mini split to heat it can draw 1,200 watts.  It is getting pretty cool here in the Colorado high country at night.  A week ago we had a rare early season snow.

Our mini splits draw very little. Really surprising. Been viewing the readout on the progressive electrical protection device we have. Around 9 amps about all they pull. That is them, lights, tv. Very impressive. But when cooking I was viewing around 50 amps and warm day also. That 6000 watts anyway you look at it.

Hey Glenn, great point if only one adequate inverter has the capacity to get you by say 90% of the time and all it takes is some common electrical sense and load shedding to cover the other 10%, GO FOR IT I SAY...

Your projects have been fun for us sparkies at least, keep it coming

One of my reasons for the Schneider unit is it power share/ sell back feature. Our Teton will eventually end up on our property in Huntsville. So will have that option. Don't know if ocoussional  use of generator or expense of shore power. If do shore power would want this buyback option.
