GlennWest
Too much time on my hands. Victron plainly states on say a quattro 48/8000 has 6600 watts and 8000VA. Basically 80% difference. Magnum 44448 PAE states 4400VA and no mention of continuous watts. So is the Magnum only 3000 watts? oldjohnt
Hey Glenn, I thought we went through all this a while back ??? Watts = Power Factor X Volt Amps or PF= W/VA. If the Power Factor is unity one (that's a goal) then VA = Watts. Volt Amps versus Watts IS NOT the same as only the "continuous watts" you spoke of above. I cant say what Magnum's Watts or Volt Amp ratings are ????? I don't have any of their data. If you find out let us know John T
GlennWest
We did but I can't find the info for Magnum. Simply states 4400 KA. Have searched and searched for that info. Hoping someone on here knows. The .7 factor I understand is the difference. That really adds up in higher wattage inverters Quote 2003 Teton Grand Freedom towed with 2006 Freightliner Century 120 across the beautiful USA welding pipe.https://photos.app.goo.gl/O32ZjgzSzgK7LAyt1
jcussen
The label on my 4448 says max output amperage is 19. So at 220 volts, 4180 watts. . Not sure how to calculate it with both 120 and 220 volt loads. I only have the Arc50 and the BMK and the only readout I get is battery voltage and amps out. So I can figure it out. The most I have ever pulled out of battery is about 2700 watts and that is with a combined 220 and 120 load. GlennWest
Wife was cooking with convection at 400 degrees. One leg was seeing 19-21 amps. I mini split on. It 240v so one leg was on that but it is basically idling. Not very warm here. So most of that was convection microwave. I just wanting to make sure 2 of those inverters will run everything.
