Jim and Liz McNinch
New Member and first time RVer. Looking forward to new adventures and new friends. Liz and I are looking seriously at the newer Thor Gemini or Compass from Motor Home Specialists near Dallas. Any good or bad reviews of these models over the last couple years? Thanks in advance. Kirk W
Welcome to the Escapee forums! We are happy to have you with us. I am not very familiar with either of the 2 RVs in question but you may want to also watch the class C forum as there is a fine line between the B+ and a class C. I can tell you that Thor is at present the largest company in the RV manufacturing business, making more different brands and models than any other RV manufacturer. Over the past 10 or 15 years they have bought out many of the smaller RV manufacturers. The company's products get a very wide range of reviews and they are not the best known for factory support of their products. Motor Home Specialists does have a good reputation among dealerships and I have known several people who have bought from them and been satisfied with the service, including one friend who has bought from them 3 times. When buying any used RV, I strongly suggest that you have it inspected by a professional who is independent of the selling dealership. sandsys
I know nothing about the manufacturer but I like the 23TW floor plan and specs except for the shortage of kitchen counter space and the fact that neither TV can be viewed straight on from the sitting areas. Plus, that's pretty tiny shower; I'd be banging my elbows trying to wash my hair. Fortunately the dinette is close enough to use it for food prep but washing dishes could be irritating in this plan. Hmm. I guess I like it but don't like it at the same time?
